Well, pretty much this anime is doing well and i would really like to know everybody's favorite and give further details why they like the character. This way, we'll also be able to know if our favorite is somebody's favorite.",)
I'll start.
My favorite character is Shino. I actually started knowing and liking him in the first Naruto Game in PSP. I like his ability to control insects that will suck chakra, as well as the way he beats his opponents. He thinks well to win. I like his personality too. I also like his uniform with the turtleneck. His new uniform is even better (look below.)
Who's Your Favorite Character in Naruto Cartoon Series? And why?
1) Hatake Kakashi - Really funny and laid back attitude. Very experienced ninja who can lead a team and emphasizes teamwork among all else. Very loyal to his village and is known as the Copycat Ninja due to his Sharingan.
2) Jiraiya - Hilarious, love his past with the Toads that it showed during his fight with Pein. He's a pervert but very loyal and kind hearted. He wanted to bring peace to the ninja world.
3) Uchiha Itachi - Very tragic past, one of the worst in history. A pacifist who was forced into murdering his whole clan including his father, mother and lover. Couldn't bring himself to kill his little brother and was loyal to Konoha until the end.
4) Nara Shikamaru - Lazy, laid back attitude and a genius. Can come up wit complicated tactical plans and manages to gauge an opponents moves and make plans accordingly. Can lead a team very well, but it would be a bother, so he just stares at the clouds with his good friend Chouji.
5) Rock Lee - Unable to perform Ninjutsu and Genjutsu so he trained very hard in Taijutsu. He is unbelievably funny, lost his interest with Sakura (Thank God) and has proven to be an elite ninja with just taijutsu.
6) Namikaze Minato - Mysterious Hokage who can take out villages by himself, very intelligent, deadly, and kindhearted at the same time. Sealed the infamous Kyubi into his son to save his village. Known as Konoha's Yellow Flash. Father of Naruto, student of Jiraiya, and sensei of Kakashi.
7) Hiruzen Sarutobi - Third Hokage who loved his village and the people, brought the will of fire among the whole village and loved each inhabitant of the village. Role Model to many.
1. Nine Tailed Fox: Hes just so awsome and I can't wait to see if he ends up like the 8 tails.
2. Kakashi: Who is the man behind the mask? Why is he sooo awsome even when reading his pervy books?
Too much of a fun character, that you have to respect.
3. Naruto: Main character of the series, I would have put his father here Minato and even his mom before him, but lets face it, if you don't like Naruto himself, then why watch or read the franchise that focuses on him for the most part.
Either way he's the one that probably seen the most character developement and I'm so far loving the past 3 chapters in his quest to gain control over the Kyuubi.
It wouldn't be right to leave him out of the top 3.
4. Pervy Sage, Minato Uzumaki, Kushina Uzumaki, all three. :D
GAARA!
I actually wrote an essay on him for Crunchyroll.com. Let me know if you're interested in reading it :)
"Wow, lmao, I thought no one like Ten Ten. "
Problem with Tenten she seems to still be on the pre-shippuden Sakura level of uselessness in shippuden. When it seems just about EVERYONE has become better and a hell of a lot more useful, shes still the exact same in shippuden.
She wasn't even able to outlast Lee or Neji at holding her breathe.

Naruto is a series concerning the inner struggles each human being is confronted with; the invariable choice; to be good and virtuous, or to be evil and pursue our goals at any cost. No character in the Naruto saga, Manga or Anime, quite represents this dichotomy with such clarity as Gaara of the Sand.
Gaara, as a narrative device, is a direct contrast to the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki. Despite growing up in a completely juxtaposed life, Gaara is the polar opposite to the titular character. After suffering an abusive childhood, and suffering numerous hardships, Gaara finally succumbed to the evil that swells inside each human being. He embraced the demon within.
As with Naruto, Gaara is a Jinchūriki , bearing the formidable One-Tailed Shukaku inside his frail human body. As a side-effect of this spiritual containment, Gaara suffers from insomnia, an ailment that affects the mind far more than it affects the body. This inability to sleep compounded with his traumatic childhood helps to justify many of his cruel actions, his sadistic behaviour and his hateful demeanour. How can one possibly hope to empathise with a race that has only caused them pain?
As Naruto suffered a similar childhood, and differing but comparable problems associated with his Curse, it would appear as though Gaara simply lacked the will to remain a good person, in contrast with the exuberant Naruto. However, this is a simple analysis, and a false one. Gaara’s disposition and actions are not driven by misanthropy, nor by misunderstanding, they are driven by “this world’s worst kind of pain”; loneliness.
Gaara employs the philosophy that in order to sustain his existence, he must vanquish all other human life. This goal reflects the emptiness of Gaara’s life. What could easily be regarded as sadism is instead a reflection of the circumstances in which Gaara finds himself; he is entirely alone, and “people cannot win against their loneliness.” Gaara deems it fitting to obliterate life (“as long as there are people in this world to kill, I will not cease to exist”), not because he wants to, but because it allows him to purge himself of the thought that maybe he is in fact responsible for his loneliness. One does not choose to be lonely, but one can strive to find company. Gaara cannot find company due to the nature of his existence; he is a monster. As such, it is a paradoxical fact that although he wishes to escape his own loneliness, he is trapped by himself.
It is only after he is defeated by Naruto in single combat, in a display of pure, incorruptible strength and valour that Gaara begins to see the fruitlessness of his endeavour. Though he was “born a monster” he need not live the life of a monster. Naruto, by defending those that he loves, presents Gaara with a new concept, that one can achieve strength and purpose through the protection of the people that they cherish. Coinciding with this epiphany, Gaara chooses to leave and re-evaluate his life, and to spend time with his siblings. However, he later returns to defend someone who he has no reason to defend, someone who he feels guilt and regret for harming. In this respect, Gaara becomes the complete opposite of his former self, rather than murdering any he deem fit; he will protect all those that require protection as long as they are a “virtuous person”.
Gaara may be the most complex character in the Naruto series, and most definitely reflects the ideas that the eternal battle between good and evil inside each human being is never a foregone conclusion, and that it is never too late to change.
" @Sexy Merc: I don't know if you can search through their old newsletter archives, I'll just post the whole thing here under a spoiler banner, so anyone that doesn't care can skip it:That's really good man, very nice.

I don't even think Kishimoto likes Tenten.
The very least they could put her in more filler episodes or making her more than a flat character whenever she does pops up. Wouldn't hurt to give her interesting abilities either.
Anyway, since you're giving more than one favorite chracter, i would like to add one more Naruto character who has become part of my favorite comic characters list.
Orochimaru. He's so cool as a villain. I guess to has something to do with his apperance. White skin, snake eyes and his amazing abilities. Of course, i shouldn't forget his personality too.
I was hoping he would come back at the time Pain began destroying the leaf village. It would have been great if Orochimaru showed up and help protect the village and its people and kill some of the Pain.",)
" @Hellos: Yeah, I stopped reading the manga after Danzo's death because I preferred the anime for some reason. I hope Lee, Neji and Shikamaru have bigger roles later on. I just realized most of my guys died at some point... "
Missing out on Naruto's mom and Naruto finnaly taming the Fox. :D :P
Naruto was all glowy at the end of 499.

" @Sexy Merc said:True, but he managed to stop the reanimated Hokages and if he didn't let his emotions and feelings for Orochimaru get in the way, he might have been able to kill him."The Third should of beat Orochimaru down. "The Third had to fight the first two Hokages and Orochimaru himself. The fact he was an old man at the time didn't help. :P "
"True, but he managed to stop the reanimated Hokages and if he didn't let his emotions and feelings for Orochimaru get in the way, he might have been able to kill him. "
I don't know it seemed like the big final attack he had going for him to take Orochimaru's soul out his body was pretty much showing his determination to kill his former student.
" @Sexy Merc said:True, but in the middle of it, he kept having flashbacks of Orochimaru and I think that's when he just focused on sealing his arms as opposed to killing him, I could be wrong though, I haven't seen it in a while."True, but he managed to stop the reanimated Hokages and if he didn't let his emotions and feelings for Orochimaru get in the way, he might have been able to kill him. I don't remember any flash backs though when he was taking the soul out of Orochimaru, it's when Orochimaru started resisting the process that the third settled with taking his arms from him.
LMAO
well,i was playing an online game, but it was taking too long to find players,so i decided to put Ino and Shino there

Not hard to believe. Immortal guy that can kill you if he scratches you and runs around with a scythe.

Your post got longer! Before Kiba was the only one up there, living every young child's dream of riding a dog around as a horse."
"
I was hoping someone would pick Ino eventually. :P

Aha!
Oh crap, don't make me pick! D:
I started watching Naruto for Hinata and Rock Lee and I hated Naruto I thought he had an annoying voice
But Eventually the whole cast became my favorites all of em! Well, except Neji and TEn Ten... I hate Neji cause he almost killed Hinata! I mean he is a cool character but I still have that fact in my soul that hes an @sshole still for trying to kill her. I don't like Ten Ten cause she always fails :P
Ummm, favorite, ummmm.. I cant pick! But I'll choose a top 5 :D
Hinata, Jiraiya, Naruto, Rock Lee and Kakashi :D
Top 5 favorite bad guys:
Haku
Itachi
Pein
Kabuto
Orochimaru
Neji had a tragic past, though I don't condone killing, Hinata's past was a walk in the park compared to him. He was the best of their clan at that age and yet because of her status she was more important and his clan were pretty much servants to them. On top of that, his father's death was really sad. I don't blame him at all.
" @rbysjti said:" Did any of you liked the six tails and the eight tails? "I liked Utakata from the filler if you're referring to the 6 tailed Jinchuriki as well as Killer Bee. If you mean Naruto's forms, then not so much. "

Yes . i was referring to Utakata and Killer Bee. I think, Utajata is more likeable than Killer Bee.
