No one I can think of just did action movies in a row like Sly and Arnold recently. Hemsworth and Cavill could be the future but doubt they just do action movies for then next couple of years.

Correct answer: Willis, Stallone, and Schwarzenegger. A weird thing with our generation is that the old actors (guys who all peaked in the 80's) are still hogging the spotlight in action movies. Realistically they all should have probably stopped somewhere in the 90's but they keep making the same shit over and over again.

Tom Cruise because he is constantly pumping out great movies (Jack Reacher, Mission Impossible, Edge of Tomorrow, Last Samurai, Collateral). He pumps out average/bad ones every now and then, but about half of his films are very good and memorable.

Brad Pitt really isn't an action star, he does mostly dramas so I have no clue why people are voting for him.

All the 80's guys need to retire and they release mostly crap.

Neeson would be 2nd imo.

Jason Statham releases trash so, not him either.

Not gonna count 80's stars, cause, even though they still make movies, they are utterly forgettable these days. I'd say someone like Tom Cruise or Will Smith.

Depends what we're defining as "This generation."

As of the past 14 or so years, I'd say Cruise, Bale, Whalberg, Depp, Neeson, Statham, Stallone, Cage, Chan, and a few others could all make good claims for it.

Although I'd have to say Cruise, Stallone, and Cage are the most consistent "action" stars of this generation, as they pump out the most action movies. Again, this is "biggest" not "best." Like Cage would never be mentioned on any list for best.
