Many of my replies would be contingent on the peril faced. I'd gladly give up the last beer to whomever, but I might be less likely to fold in a high stakes game of poker even if it means I now own my best friend's house. Life? Really, people can make these noble declarations, but until actually in those circumstances, it's meaningless.

Besides for my child I wouldn't sacrifice myself for anyone.

Depends on the circumstances really.

Id probably sacrifice myself for anyone I like, I dont have that much love for life. But if I actively dis-like someone they are screwed, and if a stranger didnt strike me as one I would like on the first impression they are screwed as well.

Apparently, most people really want to live until they're 80 or further, go through decades of arthritis or other things, and struggle with some kind of torturing illness in their final days that only mammals with carefully extended life span would conceive. Sometimes I don't understand the things I said. Really didn't intend to sound so mean.

If there's torture involve before my death then sorry, kids survive, no one else.

If I get to be turned into a cyborg then my answer would be different, I guess.

I am not a father but in this case I only sacrifice for my child. I would know that if I let him die, I would never forgive myself, this is why I wound t sacrifice myself for my dad and mom.

i would sacrifice my life for my mom's. Dunno how she'd cope with it after though.

I lost my dad about 3 years ago and miss him everyday - I would do anything to have him back, even if it meant me not being around.

My best friend and I have had this conversation before, and we've come to the conclusion the World would be shitty if one of us weren't around, so it's a 50/50 split.

By nature of my career I've volunteered to potentially die for total strangers, so I have no problem dying for those I actually care about.
