Poll Who would you rather be: Starfleet Officer or Jedi? (93 votes)
ANSWER.
ANSWER.
Neither, I'd rather be a Necron Phaerakh and rule over a dynasty. Failing that, a Forerunner Builder.
@jedixman: what's a grey jedi? a really old one?
@joygirl: Would you be a psycho dark jedi or a very dark anti hero who questions the Jedi Code and the Republic?
@thetimestreamer: They are Force sensitives who follow neither the dark or light side of the Force. They are in between; thus neutral.
@dccomicsrule2011: oh. cool.
@sithlantern93: Psycho dark jedi. I don't need to question the code because I already know it sucks.

Sort of. They can mean that. However, most Gray Jedi are still followers of the light. They just don't agree with the Order. In the end, they follow what is good, or "light." An example would be Jolee Bindo, who - when it came down to it - did what was good, and was closer to the light. Qui-Gon could also be considered gray by some, but really because of his attitudes toward the Council.
Some consider Imperial Knights to be Gray, but I don't. They follow the light side of the Force, and making sure that the Emperor does the same is their primary objective.
Jedi easy, I would rather have the powers of the Force than be a Starfleet Officer with no powers...
Jedi.
@jedixman: Hmmm I see. There is one thing I have been meaning to ask.... What in the world are Light Sith? Are they anything like Gray Jedi?
A Sith.

For the most part, it has to do with stupid bullcrap shown in SWTOR, where some Sith were "Light" in some way. Same way that it makes no sense to play as a Sith with Light alignment.
However, it also refers to Darth Gravid, who has an extremely interesting story. He began to follow the Light. Eventually, he tried to sabotage the Sith itself, destroying ancient Sith artifacts and setting back the Banite Dynasty for centuries. He was stopped and killed by his apprentice before he could do too much damage. I would very much like to see his story elaborated on, but thus far it has only been mentioned within the pages of Darth Plagueis (I love the book more and more every day). If they ever do make a spin off story about him, it should be a short story written only by Luceno.
96% to 4%...who could have seen that coming. Yanno cause energy swords are lame...
Jedi but I'd turn to the Dark Side pretty instantly.
this.
@jedixman: Ah I see, thanks :D I agree a more in-depth look at Gravid would be great. As for Luceno... he just maybe the best Star Wars EU author.
Jedi.
Starfleet Officer
I think you and I are the only ones who voted that way. :P
Depends on what's more beneficial, If being a starfleet officer gives you around the same or more privelages than it does for being in the army at the moment, then I'd probably take... Sith.
Either way's a guaranteed death sentence. Anomaly of the Week, Sith Uprising of the Month, same difference.
Starfleet. In the show starfleet is like one big happy family. While the jedi and Sith codes just don't appeal to me in the slightest. I suppose i could be a gray jedi but you'll always feel like an outcast. Plus the technology in star trek, holodeck? Yes please. Replicator (aka always eating what you love) yes please.
Starfleet Officer
I'm telling Kitty. <3
Jedi. But I'd probably end up a Gray Jedi.
This.

Why is that?

You get to live in a world where you can have any material thing you want(in Star Trek universe).
Jedi. But I'd probably end up a Gray Jedi.
I'm sorry but seriously why is this even a question? Sure Star Trek has more sound science but Jedi's are Jedi's man. Let's see a man who commands a ship or a person who has the potential to bring on down from the sky? Not really a hard choice.
heh heh
