I prefer fire type Pokemon but because the first two gym leaders were strong against fire, I picked Squirtle instead.

I don't remember correctly but I think it was Charmander.

I seriously thought this was a sexual question from the title.

exactly why I'm in here scratchin my head... my first was this girl with long brown hair and - oh no wait there was a guy I was with before her

This was me too. My little brother bought the yellow version first. But of the three, my fave to start with is Charmander.

Haha I thought this topic was entirely different.

#64 Edited by HolySerpent (12463 posts) - - Show Bio

@chronus: I hated when people did that. Raise there 1 Pokemon to level 100 while the rest be on like level 42. That's not a good trainer

@ragdollpurps: hey the second generation of Pokemon where good to.

I was nerded up with both Red and Blue at once. Well, one was my brother's but he never touched it. Anyway in one I chose Bulbasaur and the other I chose Charmander.

@soa: Definitely. I have no idea how they come up with such crap. I could just stick a bunch of cute eyeballs on a ball of slime and---BAM! You have a Pokemon. It's not that hard.

Also, there's an ice cream cone Pokemon.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Vanillish_(Pokémon)

It's evolved form is an ice cream Pokemon with two scoops.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Vanilluxe_(Pokémon)

Pokemon design has become such crap. You know they made a pokemon that's literally just a f**king Pokeball? And one that's a pile of slime with eyes? And one that's just a snake?

Oh wait.

It would suck so bad if they made one that was just an upside down Pokéball or one that was just three brown heads put together or a steel ball with two magnets on the side or I don't know, an evolution to the slime with eyes that was just a bigger pile of slime.

I mean, Pokémon has really gone downhill with Gen 1....

Bulbasaur all day, best early game and end game. Sleep powder, leech seed, razor leaf, filler. Unstoppable.

well, don't want to scare you, but it probably wouldn't be much use currently. but I bet it was a good team back at Gen 2.
either way, I just battle with my favorites, even if they aren't the best competitively.

did you stop playing just because, or you tried the new games and didnt like them? or for any other reason? the new games are really cool

That said, Charmander!

After emerald i played a terrible game for DS ( I forgot the name of it) where you get play as a Pokemon. After that game I lost interest

I submit to you, thread, that smart people are the ones who chose Bulbasaur.

#94 Posted by Supreme Marvel (11264 posts) - - Show Bio

Bulbasaur is the best option. Because there is a lack of good grass types. You could have an (in R/B/Y) Arcanine for a fire type. Golduck who can also learn Psychic as well as Ice Beam. It's just...logical.

Squirtle (had Bulbasaur and Charmander later. Fire-type is the best, though.

ugh, it's mystery dungeon. it's "kinda" popular (still not as popular as the regular games) but I don't really like it. you should try playing the regular ones for the DS, you might surprise yourself, the game play and story line's are getting ever more fantastic. but that's only if you want to try to get back into it, if not it's okay.
some people just outgrow the franchise, it's totally normal
