Lil Wayne also admitted that he couldn't f*ck with Em, soooooo...
*holds out open palms and scales the opinions*
Yeah...he admitted he couldn't f*ck with him if they went into beef - don't really see how that translate into who is actually the better artist and lyricist. Ice Cube is a better diss track maker than Canibus, and we all know a prime 'Bis destroys Cube in terms of actual lyricism and pure technical ability.
Try harder, MS.
This thread is frickin' trash. Let it die...
U mad Bro? :D

He never specified, actually.
Therefore, I just took it in the general :/

@dccomicsrule2011: 1 on 1, bro. COME AT ME!
Both at their best? Wayne. I prefer Tha Carter IV to Slim Shady LP.
Lemme guess your the 4 percent :P ?

True, although Canibus is far from Prime at the moment.

Probably. :D
On the real though, I think Eminem is better technically, while Wayne, when on - has superior metaphors, similes and word-play. Wayne has the superior range in flows as well, while Shady is more limited in that department. Eminem is probably the more versatile artist, while Wayne makes better songs for me to just chill too. Plus, I think Wayne raps to better beats on average for me. Sure Wayne has been hit-or-miss since Tha Carter III, but before that, he's sporting hundreds of enjoyable tracks and even many afterwards. I see their discography being closer then most want to admit.
At the end of the day though, both of these guys are top 10 rappers for me, maybe top 6. *shrugs*

Agreed. So much lyrical talent was wasted in Canibus. Dude had top 10 potential before, but is now forgotten. =(
@dccomicsrule2011: 'cause Em shut canab*tch's hopes down :P
@monsterstomp: Can-I-B!tch was one of the worst diss tracks I've ever heard though...
@dccomicsrule2011: To be honest, Em isn't all that impressive when it comes to diss tracks.
2Pac and Biggie has nothing to do with this conversation. People need to stay off those two dead overrated jokers d!ck...
@dboyrules2011: Most overrated rappers in hip-hop history..
Krayzie bone should be there. Lil Wayne doesn't even do anything. He just shouts in the background like "lets go!" or something else. Did any body see his guitar "skills"?
@rocketraccoonthingy: Nothing relevent about Lil Wayne in that post..
Eminem
@dbvse7: I don't know him as much as you do but for me, he sucks. I listen to Eminem sometimes but if it's hip hop, it's Bone Thugs or Ice Cube. The real hip hop dudes.
@rocketraccoonthingy: I don't know him, and I may not like Wayne as a rapper, but to say the guy sucks or has 0 lyrical talent is just ignorant.
@dbvse7: Bro Fist
@kingvenus: Why you hating though? Lil B is GOAT.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks you. All this negativity and hate... Based God would not approve

Well, I suppose you're pretty used to being a minority.
I don't expect a whige dominated site to vote for a nigga rapper over a white one....neither do I expect them to know anything about black music. ^_^
@dccomicsrule2011: White dominated site? You know that's just a plain lie. You've even commented yourself on how large the number of black viners is. Has it really been that long since you've been in the Real Life Pic thread?
And why you gotta bring race into it anyways? That's just undermining both of these artists.
LOL, Wayne's getting no love here.

That post was dripping with so much sarcasm, and so sardonic - I have no idea how you could actually take it serious..=/
@dccomicsrule2011: I wasn't letting you get away with the deflection.
Fact is, a sh!t-ton of brothers voted for a pasty dude over that stick with dreads. Your opinion is so far in the minority, that as of right now the percentage that represents how many people agree with you is under half of the percentage of black people in the US. That's like, a super minority.
And I burned your black ass so bad it left grill marks.
So nanny nanny poopoo, stick your head in doodoo.

Okay?
Fact is, a sh!t-ton of brothers voted for a pasty dude over that stick with dreads. Your opinion is so far in the minority, the percentage that represents how many people agree with you is about a quarter of the percentage of black people in the US. That's like, a super minority.

As if I care what the majority thinks. As I've said before, 99% of the people posting in this thread couldn't tell me the difference between a consonance and a assonance (sans maybe Wolverine and Laflux) and couldn't properly breakdown a rhyme scheme if their lives dependent on it. Their opinion of lyricism and rap in general is nil to me.
@dccomicsrule2011: I think you're severely overestimating the alleged difficulty in grasping basic grammar structure.
I mean, if you want to be pretentious and point out the fact that you can convey what, say, a monosyllabic rhyme is, go right ahead. But don't pretend that you're special, because anyone with sentience knows there's a difference between rhyming "way" with "day" and rhyming "conflagration" with "space station."
Those numbers ain't anything to scoff at.
But don't mind me, I'll just be over here laughing at how you think Wayne's verse on Forever was "better" than the verse that sh@t all over it and the other 2 that preceded it.
I think you're severely overestimating the alleged difficulty in grasping basic grammar structure.
For people to claim Wayne isn't even the least bit lyrical, then yes - most struggle to grasp a basic grammatical structure.

LAL. Multi's are the most simple form of rapping these days. Even the most garbage lyricist exhibit them on a song by song basis. There is far more to complex rap then simple Multisyllable and finesse rhymes - good job with the low-ball Jakey.
But don't pretend that you're special
Never said I was. But I am one of the few who actually knows a tad bit about lyricism in this thread.
Go figure.

Whatever floats your boat, chap.

If you actually think Eminem's verse sh*t on others on Forever, then you must lack the intrinsic grammatical skills to properly rate a rhyme scheme adroitly, as 99% of the others people in this thread are. That, or you're an Eminem nut-hugger, which wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
Ayyyyy lmao
I hope you enjoy the show. :3
@dccomicsrule2011: I will? Also, what ways would you say are more advanced than multi's?

I know I ain't all that, but still!

I wasn't trying to diss you Monster. D: You're the third most knowledgeable rap dude in this thread. ;3
"LAL. Multi's are the most simple form of rapping these days. Even the most garbage lyricist exhibit them on a song by song basis. There is far more to complex rap then simple Multisyllable and finesse rhymes - good job with the low-ball Jakey."
...I wasn't talking about the complexity of rhyming schemes. I was talking about the pretentiousness that comes with spouting out hype smart words and pretending the concepts behind which don't just come down to common sense.
"Never said I was. I'm one of the few who actually knows a tad bit about lyricism in this thread."
It doesn't matter if you said you were. You clearly think you are. You are literally discrediting everyone in this thread based on no empirical evidence, and purporting yourself to be the rap messiah with the only opinions that matter. It's pathetic.
"If you actually think Eminem's verse sh*t on others on Forever, then you must lack the intrinsic grammatical skills to properly rate a rhyme scheme adroitly, as 99% of the others people in this thread are."
There is no way you weren't swirling around a wine glass while sniffing your own farts when you typed that.
And yes, Em's verse > Wayne's > Drake's = Kanye's
^ This is what is called an UH-PIN-YUN.
As I've said before, 99% of the people posting in this thread couldn't tell me the difference between a consonance and a assonance (sans maybe Wolverine and Laflux)
They're not the only ones.
Recurring similar sounds of consonants that are close together, but with different vowel sounds. The repetition of vowels or vowel sounds but with different consonants.

Popular opinion is still an opinion. The only difference is that DC's opinion is a bit more informed, as he's more educated on the subject than a lot of other people here.
