@zhurong: Obviously indeed.
Who is the most bada** woman in fiction?
I watched 300: Rise of an Empire a few days ago, and I can say, with absolute certainty, that Artemisia is one of the bada$$ women I've seen in film.
She made that film.
This. Basically the progenitor of strong women in movies.
Cassandra Cain, What other woman you know that can give Deathstroke a run for his money?
Any female host of the Phoenix Force, She-Hulk probably, maybe Moonstone, Ms. Marvel, maybe Polaris. That's just off the top of my head.
Ravager, Raven, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Power Girl, Jade, Zatanna, Poison Ivy, Black Alice... honestly the easiest question ever.
How many females without superpowers can?
I'm gonna ignore comics cause...let's face it, almost all women in comics can be awesome. I'll stick to movies, another one is O Ren Ishii from Kill Bill (I liked her more than Kiddo tbh)
I really enjoyed her animated origin sequence.
@feral_nova: This. They are the real deal. I could also add Trinity.
There are many that deserve mention, dozens, and I feel like I'm doing an injustice to them by naming just one. But if I had to choose only one:
Vi, the Piltover Enforcer, and the One Girl Wrecking Crew
When instead of guns, you fight crime with gauntlets that make your punches the equivalent of getting hit by a truck, and that hair and face, you reach the Final Level of Badass. You don't need tons of lore and character development for that.
(I know the OP didn't specify video games, but since no one is complaining about Lara Croft, I think my option is valid too)
I was going to make a joke about women in the kitchen, but I can see I'm too late for that.
They're pretty bada$$
Yup.
@mlanstorm: To me, O-Rin was more badass. She was leader of an entire crime family of Japan.
I honestly find it hard to think of a character who isn't badass in some way. They just don't stick otherwise, regardless of gender.
Dahlia in the Drizzt books is pretty badass, and Danica Bonaduce from the Cleric Quintent.
Ellen Ripley is an obvious.
Sarah Connor is obvious as well.
From the comic world Psylocke and Black Canary fit the bill as well.
@comicstooge: Agreed
Beatrix Kiddo.
wonder woman, gamora, big barda, supergirl, power girl, black canary, chi chi, bulma, go go, and honey lemon.
Badass, not boring
