I don't know about best. But Bob Ross always made it look easy, until i tried and then i was: "how the F did he do that?!" :p

depends on your preferred style, a romanticist would have a completely different answer then say a surrealist.

I don't know about the best....its preference. I have always like Gustave Corbet (probably spelled that wrong) Dali, Egon Scheile. Artists with more distinct styles.

Me too, although there are so many and it's extremely subjective. A close second would be Gustav Klimt (for me) but classically, I would think Michelangelo or DaVinci.
