Rand Paul.

Rand Paul

I respect both of your opinions equally but there's a slight problem there..... RON PAUL IS NOT A LIBERTARIAN BUT A PALEOCONSERVATIVE TRYING TO RUIN LIBERTARIANISM!

Deez Nuts

HAHAHA! I wish he could represent our awesome party! But sadly he went Modern Whig!

Even though I consider myself a libertarian, I haven't looked into the Libertarian candidates. There are, at this point, three candidates running for the GOP that I could support, and if they win the primary, I'll vote for them. If they don't, I'll almost certainly vote Libertarian. There's pretty much nobody who would label themselves Libertarian that I wouldn't support.

Who do you like, OP?

Also, what particular issues do you dislike about Rand Paul?

@royj0_1: They were smart and actually adapted to the dumb system we have set in place in America. No third party will ever win. They had to choose the lesser of the two evils and Republicanism is it.

Socialist. Democratic socialist to be exact. He most likely won't get the ticket either.

Doesnt matter, Bernie anyway...

If Bernie get's elected tax will increase dramatically, I hope his supports know this. And as a 20 year old living on my own I would rather not spend a drastic amount more in taxes.

off topic but I am going to ramble anyway.

Just some things I have found interesting.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/dem-primaries/252227-sanders-dnc-using-debates-to-rig-primary

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/sep/18/democratic-candidate-lawrence-lessig-tv-debate-catch-22

In modern politics I find policies tend to be made by whoever buys the politician. IMHO looking at where the money comes from is a good way to cut through the bullshit.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/hillary-clintons-speaking-fee-north-of-200k

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/10/01/bernie-sanderss-26-million-cash-haul-is-a-major-problem-for-hillary-clinton/

Although to be honest my opinion of most republican candidates is lower then my love of mosquitoes.

  • Trump is a clown
  • Hilary is bought and paid for.
  • I'm voting for sanders because his actually follows through with his beliefs.
  • While I rather like some of the things Rand Paul has said and I actually think he believes I can't trust him. Look back at what Obama said during elections and his actual actions while elected. (and yes I know Paul isn't a democrat, Please don't buy into us vs them in our the Two party system.)

just my .02$

@thekillerklok: Economically* (correcting myself)

Oh I don't know maybe he's a magician who can really make everything free out of thin air.( Free healthcare, Free School) this will not only cost the country A LOT of money it will mean we all have to pay a 30% tax rate yay! ( so it's not even really free, instead of calling it School fees and Insurance we get to call it taxes)

Increasing the Wage to $15 an hour minimum will cause people to lose there jobs ( Companies are not going to spend that much extra money on people, and they will increase the price of there goods and services to compensate for the extra money they have to pay workers.) so you do get payed more, but your paying more so what the point?

Because it's not like there are other first world countries with a far better healthcare/education systems in place.

http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/01/heres-exactly-how-much-the-government-would-have-to-spend-to-make-public-college-tuition-free/282803/

Note the amount of money we spend on defense is what 610 billion?

Go take a look at the cost of healthcare in other first world countries and them come take a look at how bloated and crap our current system is and tell me there doesn't need to be reform.

also I'm sure that given the existence of the internet there is no cheap and easy way of educating a vast amount of people.

John Oliver belongs in every debate. also potential language warning.

So you are saying it will equal itself out over time? Economic destruction everyone.

Erhmergerd the debt!! fear the debt!!.

note i couldn't find the video I wanted so have this guy.

I personally think the far bigger problem is the corruption in this country. and Bernie may be suffering from dementia due to old age I still view him as a better choice then someone who is going to intentionally going to screw us over.

@thekillerklok: Higher wages= less jobs

Less jobs means the GDP per capita will fail to keep up with the debt, which means the economy will collapse. So no it will not "balance out".

The whole College debt thing sucks, but so does the drastic increase in taxes you have to pay. So instead of paying of your loan you have to spend your money on taxes. ( it would be like the US spending a lot of money just for us to pay them a lot of money.)

Corruption is bad, Bernie can't and wont be able to complete fix this.

At least he is going to try. I doubt he can succeed but my point as listed above is simply I would rather have a guy trying to apply a band-aid on the wound then have someone who will keep twisting the knife.

Any corporation that is half decent at it's job doesn't have excess employees anyway. as for the effects of raising the minimum wage. so I wonder just how many people would really lose there jobs.

Small drowning businesses may drown faster.

Though that said if someone can't make a living wage working a full time job that is likely going to effect happiness and that has an actual effect on productivity.

http://www.salary.com/increasing-the-minimum-wage-pros-cons/

The merits of increasing minimum is something people will waste there time debating for eternity.

Besides how exactly as president do you expect Bernie to pass this?

Living wages is a great ideal but I don't see much cooperation coming his way.

No Caption Provided

I would actually rather focus on whatever abuses cause the extremes to skew this graph.

This was the link i had posted above.

A mere $62.6 billion dollars!

610 billion is spent of defense... doesn't sanders advocate cutting into that?
