@DeadpoolvIronFist: How is he the most menacing? Michael Myers does it all while walking. Do you have any idea how hard it is to chase people AND catch them while walking?
Jason Voorhies easy... his Kill Count should be above everyone else listed.
He isn't as smart as Freddy Krueger or as strong as Myers. Don't get me wrong he is great too. But I don't think he is on the same level as Myers, Krueger or Ghostface.

Have you not seen any of the Scream movies. They are terrifying especially on the first viewing. I haven't been scared during a Halloween movie since the 1st and 2nd. But hey isn't this what opinions are all about?
@DeadpoolvIronFist: Ive never found Scream scary. I love the satire in the Scream movies, but other than that it's pretty much just another slasher series to me.
@King Saturn: TRUE, but he has a supernatural quality to him which pretty much gives him that boost. Myers is just a normal human psycho (except for Zombies Halloween series)

this thread says nothing about who was the smartest or strongest horror movie villain... it says who was the best horror movie killer... Jason killed at a higher rate than Myers or Ghostface or Freddy... so I think Jason is the best killer... period

none of that takes away from the fact that Jason killed at a higher rate though
Honestly, out of this list, Jason is the best, his kill count is FAR greater than anyone else on the list, also, he had some of the most imaginative kills in all of horror land (yes, even better than Freddy's)

Yes, that is his name. Now I remember. He is the quintessential psychopath. You could see the psychopathy in his face, his actions and his personality. Perfect for a horror film. :)
He also has the best motive ever! He was kind of predictable but his motive more than made up for that.

Indeed, and I actually recall him stating that he wanted to be predictable, one way or another. I think he wanted the attention.
Yeah his motive was to be in the "Trial of the Century" and blame it on the movies as his plea.
Of the list, I like Jason. But for a personal choice of who scared me the most....Pennywise the Clown. Still don't like clowns to this day and still don't play paper boats outside on a rainy day. Just saying.
and honest opinion,whilst i have'nt seen even 20% of the movies featurning guys like Freddy,Jason etc i have always thought that they are lame.Chucky is a fairly interesting character but it's hard for me to take him seriously.
