Name your superstition
Who is superstitious here?
Superstition is a belief in supernaturalcausality: that one event leads to the cause of another without any physical process linking the two events, such as astrology, omens, witchcraft, etc., that contradicts natural science.
Opposition to superstition was a central concern of the intellectuals during the 18th century Age of Enlightenment. The philosophes at that time ridiculed any belief in miracles, revelation, magic, or the supernatural, as "superstition," and typically included as well much of Christian doctrine.
The word is often used pejoratively to refer to religious practices (e.g., Voodoo) other than the one prevailing in a given society (e.g., Christianity in western culture), although the prevailing religion may contain just as many supernatural beliefs. It is also commonly applied to beliefs and practices surrounding luck, prophecy and spiritual beings, particularly the belief that future events can be foretold by specific unrelated prior events.
I don't believe is Superstition at all.;
But I let it run my life, even down to the smallest things.. :(
The closest thing I can think of is that a bunch of times after I've become a fan of something, it starts to suck.

I wouldn't call myself superstitious, but I've seen and learned enough to be open-minded to the unknown. With that being said, fear of the number 13 is a bunch of hooey and the dark has plenty in it to be afraid of.
This right here.

This begs the question if religious people are superstitious or not. Or does it go both ways?
I think it depends,I view religion as superstition but religious people may see it differently
I believe in ghost because whenever i would goto my moms id be sitting on the couch or laying down and suddenly there was this sound of someone running across the room but everyone was asleep. Also i had to sleep in one of the rooms and i didnt want to look into the other room which was all dark so i pulled the curtain seperating the rooms over to the other side i heard some knocking so i looked over and the curtain was pulled all the way over ( no one was in the other room) also ive seen the doors randomly open even when thy're fully closed so i got reason to believe.

Well, I'm somewhat of a relegious person, but I do not believe that stuff like seeing a black cat cross you means bad luck or breaking a mirror would mean you have 7 years of bad luck.... However, I do believe in karma. The saying, "what comes around goes around." and so forth.
I'm open minded, but I think most of the unexplained is simply yet to be explained. I don't let these things interfere with my life. I'm not totally dismissive, either. Some are just ridiculous, though.

The biggest reason for unlucky/luck symbols, numbers, and animals being pretty falsifiable is the fact that they're not continuous throughout the world.

I think the reason religious people would not view themselves as being superstitious is maybe because the word is used in a negative way,and they dont want to be identified with people who do believe in things that are largely considered superstitious. But as a non religious person I view it as superstitious as well
I am religious (don't know if you would call that superstitious)
I believe in demons and possessions so a little bit. But most superstitious stuff (Karma, Ghosts, Black Cats, Ladders ect is just insane)

Yet demons and possession isn't?

Well it seems alot more far-fetched than believing in ghosts.

I've got to agree with the first part.
I don't really believe in possession and stuff (at least not at the moment),but I've definitely seen enough to see that it's not really a stretch to believe. Also an up-side is being open minded. There were hundreds of things that we thought were impossible and superstition to exist at all,and we were disproven.

I think I can agree.
I'm not superstitious, but some things are not mere coincidences (other things I think are).

I say that because Demons and possessions are in the Bible. Nowhere does it mention Karma (in fact it says the opposite) or Ghosts.
Due to my childhood experiences in a house that was deemed haunted; not solely by me, but others whom I have had no contact with at times, I do believe in ghosts and the afterlife. The house was shared from the top and bottom; so we would hav people come in quite frequently. Those of whom would report seeing the exact same things I' report; as well as several pastor friends of mine.

Fair enough.
