Who is faster: Jet Li or Jackie Chan?

Both in their prime, physically and mentally.

I was going to be generous and say 2.5 out of 5, but I can't really argue with you. It ain't got nothing on Jet Li's Fearless. My favorite modern martial arts film.

I think Jackie has a fighting style based more around agility and smooth movements, but Jet might have the raw speed edge.

Go watch Ip Man 1 & 2 right now.

And then after that, watch Ong Bak 1 & 2.

And after that watch The Chinese Connection, followed by Way of the Dragon, followed by Game of Death.

And then tell me Jet Li's Fearless is your favorite.

In his prime Jackie Chan was faster. Jet Li has much editing to his films, not to discredit his capabilities.

Jet Li, The One was awesome, lame multiverse they had set up, but cool concept.

Jackie in his prime would slay Jet Li.

@jedixman: Ong Bak is right behind Ip Man and Ip man 2 for me. Excellent film.

So I have heard. It's on my list; I just haven't seen it yet.

For me, Ip Man is one of my favorite martial arts movie. Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen is great, too.

@jedixman: Haven't seen LOTF. Have you seen The Raid: Redemption? That's probably my favorite martial arts film.

I found Ong Back was terrible except for the martial arts fights. Every time action was not happening I had to fight the urge to pick up the remote to fast forward to the next action scene.

Ah! The Raid. It's another movie I haven't gotten around to.

I'd also recommend Flash Point. The Man From Nowhere is good, too, but it's more like a Korean Taken movie than it is a martial arts movie.

Flash point was definitively good. I also recommend city of violence.

@jedixman: I'll get around to it. Sounds good. Taken was a pretty nice flick. The sequel though...

Prime Jackie was superhuman. The things he could do, particularly hand movements, were truly outstanding.

i think Jet li is a better fighter, but prime jackie is definitely faster and stronger.

Jackie chan had ridiculous core strength too.

Jet Li is faster.

Flash Point is good. I also like The Rebel.
