I wanna make a joke, but I'm unsure with how to go about it.

"Is isn't it funny how it's called gay rights, when their political views lean to the left!?"

That's all I got.

yep, I support them. Still boggles my mind how anyone this day in age can actually be against them. Really there's so many other subjects that are more worthy of people's time then whether 2 gay people can get married or not.

#15 Edited by Dernman (15710 posts) - - Show Bio

There is already a thread for this I believe.

#17 Edited by woundermangirl (322 posts) - - Show Bio

omg this is so funny

i also found this

Cal Culver , an American actor in gay pornographic films , revealed in the book Hollywood Babylon Strikes Again , which had a two month affair with Christopher Reeve .

According asserts in his blog Perez Hilton, Culver gave an interview before dying of AIDS in 1987 , which revealed that he recognized the star of Superman for a casting for a role in Broadway.

" Christopher was a great lover and I think I freed myself sexually. Never thought I was gay but he seemed willing to try . Was curious ," he said .

" Christopher was the man of my dreams," Cal said in his story . As told in the book , their relationship ended when Reeve discovered Culver was working in the porn industry .

The information about this romance makes a really big surprise as the star of Superman , died in October 2004 , was married for 12 years with Dana Reeve , who had a son Matthew .

He also had a daughter , Alexandra, from a previous relationship to his marriage.

Marriage should have no legal significance. This would allow anybody to marry whoever they want without having to go through the Gov.

But this would screw up are tax system. So this is what I propose.

Any 2 people living in the same household who agree to merge their finances can get a domestic partnership certificate. This would have the same tax benefits as a marriage license.

So example, a man and woman could go to their church of choice to get married. This would make them married in the eyes of their church, but it would have no legal significance. If they choose to live together they can get a domestic partnership license.

Two gay men have a marriage ceremony which in the eyes of their family, friends, and people who recognize gay marriage married. Again, no legal significance. Assuming they live together, they can get a domestic partnership license.

It doesn't have to be a romantic partnership either. A 40 year old woman taking care of her 70 year old mom would also be able to get a domestic partnership license if they live together.

Understand?

Kinda. My point is that Marriage should fall under freedom of religion. We screwed things up when we got Marriage entangled with taxes.
