Which would you rather have? Lantern Ring or Iron Man suit?

As long as I can recharge the Lantern ring, I wager I can make it more powerful than an Iron Man suit.

@greatcaesarsghost: You could choose any Iron Man suit, including Bleeding Edge so Lantern rings aren't too powerful compared to the suits.

Well, the Lantern rings are just Super-Advanced Alien Tech, anyway. And you could just create a suit of armor using the ring if you wanted anyway.

That's what I'd do/why I'd pick the ring.

"Most powerful weapon in the Galaxy" and the rings aren't limited in the way a suit of armour with lasers is. The only limits in what the (green) ring is capable of are willpower and imagination

@greatcaesarsghost: You gotta have enough willpower etc to make it work, if your emotion is weak than your lantern ring is weak, a lantern ring isn't for everyone.

An armour with a laser? Hahaha, do your Iron Man research, he can do FAR more than shoot lasers, plus his extremis suit was able to beat the Sentry and his Bleeding Edge armour is far and away stronger basically making him the strongest superhero ever. It says so on the wiki

@w0nd: I doubt anyone's emotion is strong enough to do those things IRL. It has to be strong, a lantern ring varies in strength in each user, Iron Man's strength is always the same.

Definitely the Ring. Easier to carry around, far more powerful, and much more versatile than just a suit of armor.

I would most definitely want a Lantern Ring. I could then make a sweet construct ironman suit.

The rings can basically do anything Tony's suits can, and more, depending on the strength of the user's emotion/will. Kinda renders option 2 moot.

And a ring isn't for everyone, they have to have strong emotion to have a lantern ring. A lantern ring varies in power to each person, so you can't pull of Hal Jordan level of feats without having the same emotional strength as him.

well now you are just doing what if's about a power that isn't real lol. Why don't you put limits in the opening post then so we know more of what limitations you want on the ring.

I recall simon Baz was able to heal his hear dead friend, something no lantern should be able to do, Hal and kyle have both shown to be insanely powerful. Guy over came the red, and john has some feats as well. What's to say humans just aren't bad ass?

Also on that note, don't you have to have a certain level of brain activity to power ironmans suit? I know rhodey did it but his was modded out right? I don't think you could just put on the suit and know what you are looking at? all those screens in your face codes flashing. IRL a regular person wouldn't know wtf is going on with that either. They would probably have a seizure

There are many people in reality who can and will surpass hal jordan if given his chance/ring. And i vote myself one of them. I will go for either the blue or indigo ring
