Which was the best Robin?

It'll always be Damian to me, while Dick is the better overall character Damian was the best as robin IMO

Dick is my favorite but I think Tim was the best Robin.

I'll never understand why people think that Damian was the best Robin...imo he ranks down with Stephanie as the two worst Robins and I like Steph lol

ehhhh...that's difficult....they were all pretty bad Robins....Steph did literally nothing other than start a huge gang war....Jason disobeyed orders and got himself killed...actually so did Damian....lets put all three of them at the same rank of worst Robins ever

Dick wasn't that great as Robin, the only notable thing of interest from his time under the mantle is that he was the first.

Tim, out of the bunch he's the closest to being like Batman.

So Dick was the first Robin and he helped found the Teen Titans, he doesn't have anything interesting from his time as Robin other than being the first to do things.

As for Damian, he was way more interesting than any previous Robin in terms of behavior, origin, and place in the family. He provided a new angle to the idea of Batman and Robin, further established the roles of Bruce as a father and Dick as a mentor, and his inclusion helped in developing the Bat-family to a whole new level (Batman Inc., Tim as Red Robin, etc.).

ok but what did he DO? as Robin what did he PHYSICALLY do that makes him better than any other Robin before him

I agree that his presence changed the foundation of the Bat-Family but feat wise he didn't do anything to make him any better than Dick or Tim

I already said what makes him stand out in post #14. Due to all of the things I previously stated in that post, they make him all-around more interesting to read, and thus the better Robin.

we're going to have to agree to disagree then because when I think of what would make one of them the best I think of what would their absence would mean to the rest of the DC Universe....Dick imo would be the greatest loss to the whole...followed by Tim...then Jason....then Damian....then Steph

I'm thinking in terms of who was more fun and interesting to read when they were Robin, not about the impact they have on the DCU.

in that case I still think of Tim...his Robin series is one of DC's best imo

I vote Tim. He's probably the most well rounded Robin. The enthusiasm of Dick, the athleticism of Jason, the detective skills of Bruce. Plus he held his own title for more than 150 issues. No other Robin has ever been given their own title.

I have to go with Damian Wayne as the best Robin. He was made to be hated but was loved. He wanted to be Robin more then any other and if he wasn't killed he would have waited forever to be the next Batman. He was almost the perfect Robin in Batman's eyes and that's good enough for me. 2nd place goes to Tim, 3rd Dick and last Todd.

Jason wasn't that bad, for the man who has everything storyline he saved the day

In order:

1. Tim, who's the one that made the name more than just being Batman's sidekick as far as I am concerned.
2. Dick, for being the first and longest serving, been a better character after he dropped being Robin.
3. Steph, shortshifted by her own ambition and Batman's behind her back planning
4. Todd, an unlikable thug that got the short end of the crowbar
5. Damian, that little, spoiled, murderous psychotic should never have been Robin.

Well put, plus they did a similar poll at Cbr, Dick won, but Damian exceeded the previous Robins by far. Damian will always be my favorite!
