Buffy is the clear winner, or at least it's early to mid season episodes are.

@Referee: To me, Angel was a much better developed and interesting show.

Both shows started off great, Angel had the benefit of following the hype of Buffy, At that point the creators new what was working and what was not. However in my opinion both shows were run into the ground.

Yeah, Buffy to me, got really weak during season five, it still had some good episodes, but it was the beginning of the end. Angel to me had a better run (maybe because it only had five seasons) His first two seasons were excellent though, tackling many things that Buffy didn't, such as poverty, immigration, police brutality, the price of fame, stalkers, and of course, Redemption.

Actually I never thought about that. I am usually the kind who just watches a show for entertainment. All I know was Wolfram and Hart ruined Angel.

@Referee: The only reason I thought of it was because I literally JUST bought all the Angel seasons and watched them in one weekend, and it surprised me how deep and well thought out they were. Especially him trying to help Faith.

@The Stegman:

Buffy was written for teenagers. Angel was written for the same teenagers, a few years later once they were in college. The writing for Angel is a bit more mature and well thought out for Angel. Then Buffy was pushed in that direction as well towards the end in order to compete with Angel which pushed many of the characters out of their comfort zones and out of our comfort zones as well. It felt forced. Which is why the last couple of seasons for Buffy were so bad.

I really like The Vampire Diaries and I am enjoying it way more than Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the other TV Shows that have been listed.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer from those choices. It's a sub-par show in general.
