Quentin Tarantino is probably one of the greatest film directors in recent history. But which one of his masterpieces soars above the rest? That's up for you to decide!

While there are a lot of films tied to his name, but we will only be looking at the through and through Tarantino movies. The films that he has directed, wrote, and made a cameo appearance in (of course).

Reservoir Dogs for me. Pulp Fiction is a close second, followed by the Kill Bill volumes.

This. Jackie Brown and Django were also good but they were too slow paced.

I agree with this. Reservoir Dogs is awesome, I first saw it only 3 months ago or so though.

Pulp Fiction.

Though Inglorious Basterds would be if... you know it was actually about the Inglorious Basterds... but I guess if you're Tarantino you can false advertise and it's okay...

I think Jackie Brown might, objectively (as objective as you can get with film), be his best. For me personally though, it's between Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds and Django... I'd probably go with Kill Bill.

I still hope and think he's going to do another one about Nikita Bell at some point.

Can't wait for the 4 hour miniseries of Django and The Whole Bloody Affair.

I just thought it was a good film. Nothing mind-blowingly awesome.

And I'm just referring to general praise.

@jaken7: In my opinion it's an awesomefirst movie, I think that's why it gets so much praise, if it was a director's fifth film it wouldn't have garnered the attention it did.

I'd still give it an 8.5/10 though, really good film.

That's absolutely true. I'm judging it without that context. I totes agree with you.

I went with not a fan. I really enjoyed Kill Bill Volume 2, but I haven't seen anything else from him that blew me away. Admittedly, I missed Pulp Fiction and some of his other great works, but with Django for instance. I went in with high hopes since I heard so much amazing stuff, and...I found an entertaining revenge story. It was well done, but it's not something that I'm particularly psyched over. It was like an 8.5 out of ten, but people talk about it as if it is one of the best action movies of all time, and I just don't care.

Inglorious Bastards was similar. Really good reviews, and I thought it was just...okay. 7/10 maybe.

He's got style and talent in spades, but none of his work really sticks with me on an emotional level. I liked Kill Bill 2 best because it went for the slow burn and actually showed restraint. IG tried the same thing, but it was a bit too slow for my taste, and I never cared about the characters.

Damn bro. That's some bar you got if an 8.5/10 amounts to a "meh" from you.

You're not watching Tarantino films for the correct reasons.

Oh, I liked it, but people act as if it was the best movie of the year, and I thought it was good...and that's it. I feel meh on him overall. Kill Bill Volume 1 and Inglorious Bastards didn't do much for me, and I found Reservoir Dogs boring.

Kill Bill. Honestly Django was very good, but take Shaltz's and Samuel L Jackson's performance out of the film and IMO its not that great.
