Smallville has been on for a long time and the first couple of seasons were monotonous with the premise of each episode; (Clark wants Lana, Oh damn meteor freak, Chloe loves Clark but knows it cant happen because Clark loves Lana, Lex is cool but not really, Clark beats meteor freak, Clark wants Lana some more) That was pretty much Season 1-4. When Lois came in it gave the show a better appeal and in my opinion made it better also now they have Kara and she is smoking hott. Heroes is good and can go in so many different directions with introducing new heroes and villains and such. I really can say one is better than the other, I like both the shows!

Both Cool

I like Smallville personally. But Lost is better then both.

Heroes was my favorite until their second season concluded (it was the worst ending I could have ever imagined), now Smallville once again takes first place of the two

heroes is great...smallville is average

Colt Python says:

"Heroes is lightyears ahead.Smallville barely has anything to do with Superman not to mention there poor casting choices..."

yeah... barely anything to do with Superman... only the story and all the characters that are vital to the superman mythos... no, nothing to do with Superman at all...

#13 Posted by Methos (40103 posts) - - Show Bio

maybe... but it's what they said it would be all along, a fresh take on the Superman story...

if they just regurgitated Supermans entire past from the comic, say from Krypton exploding up to Superman: The Odyssey, i don't think anyone would watch it...

as it is it has viewing figures in the tens of millions for each episode

Heroes, but Chuck beats all of the above.

The first hunk of Smallville, but after that I'd have to go with Heroes.

#22 Posted by Cosmic Sentinel (3749 posts) - - Show Bio

I think Smallville has more ups and downs. When it's at it's best it is truely fantastic, but it does suffer from more weak episodes. Heroes tends to be more consistent. Of course Smallville has Superman, which Heroes can't quite match.

Prison Break is my favourite, but I'm biased because it's my autobiography.

#23 Posted by Popit (39 posts) - - Show Bio

Heroes is much better. I really don't like Smallville

#24 Posted by King Saturn (222806 posts) - - Show Bio

Hey I didnt see the last Smallville. I heard that Clark was punished by being frozen in the Fortress of Solitude, and Bizarro was brought back to Smallville to impersonate Clark. Is that true ?

#25 Posted by Reject (220 posts) - - Show Bio

I stopped watching Smallville a long time ago. So I'll have to say heroes.

#27 Posted by King Saturn (222806 posts) - - Show Bio

Smallville isnt average. Its been pretty good to me though at times Heroes has had episodes that blew them out of the water bit overall Smallville is Tight !

An average show doesnt last for 7 years with a 8 in its future.

#30 Posted by Andferne (38808 posts) - - Show Bio

I could see an average show lasting maybe 4 years top. Anytihng beyond that has too much of a fanbase to make it jsut average.

#31 Posted by fear monger (1077 posts) - - Show Bio

Andferne with a Great Point

#33 Posted by King Saturn (222806 posts) - - Show Bio

But then again how do you explain the Power Rangers ? They have been around for 15 years and there fanbase has dwendled down quite a bit

#34 Posted by Andferne (38808 posts) - - Show Bio

No matter how you fight it or look at it Power Rangers has had a good fanbase. Even if it is dwindleing more come o it with age.

I remember watching the first 1-3 seasons of it and likeing it, but now looking and going how the #^%& has it lasted this long.

So even though I may not like it or enjoy it anymore doesnt mean a large populaion out there doesnt. Heres a rundown for viewing shows (top of my head)

Pilot only = too bad so sad

1-4 years = average show

5-8 years = good show

9-12 years = great show

13+ years = classic

keep in mind this is just generalizing.

Well I think the Power Rangers was the strongest those first 3 or 4 years. We all loved the Rangers then. But I will admit that the Power Rangers has been an incredible franchise. They have action figures for every generation of rangers, they have video games, and currently have a deal with Toon Disney. Thats Cool

If you put Smallville at #4, then you have my opinion about those shows. I'm a ridiculous fan of Supernatural.

HEROES IS SO MUCH BETTER

#50 Posted by Phorqe (2109 posts) - - Show Bio

I never much got into smallville, all the episodes seemed a little forced when I watched it in the first season, like they needed Clark to fight someone every episode so they made a wierd character that controlled bugs. Hereoes made me interested in the whole first season, but the second season pissed me the hell off.
