Which of the GoT Great Houses would you join?

I'd be a bastard of House Stark sired by a Stark [obviously] to an adventuress Summer Island princess who, in her youth was adventuring across the globe to see Lomas Longstrider's nine wonders made by man [the Wall has be one].

Also, some of the Houses listed aren't Great Houses.

@The_Deathstroker: Huh... Sorry to disappoint you, mate, but some of the houses you listed are not Great Houses. Redwyne, Florent, Bolton, Umber and Frey are sworn houses, though the Boltons and Freys do become Great Houses over the course of the story. The Great Houses rule over one part of the Seven Kingdoms, with countless bannerman houses at their disposal that rule a small fiefdom in their domain.

I was even going to put Baelish in there because his house becomes a major House, but I figured, nah I don't want to spoil anything.

Targaryen 4EVER!!!

Stannis is best fit to be king and probably has the highest claim, too.

His claim might be just, but being under his rule would be harsh. But he's a good ruler I guess. I would have rather joined Renly though.

@awesam: I wouldn't say he's best fit at this point. He's too easily manipulated by Melisandre. He definitely has the most legitimate claim though. Stannis was who Ned was going to make king after Robert's death. Stannis was supposed to rule until Robert's "true heir" (most likely Gendry) came of age.

I need time to figure this one out.

Gendry had no claim since he wasn't legitimized. Joffrey was technically the rightful heir. Also, Melisandre doesn't manipulate him. She believes he's a savior chosen by the Lord of Light and Stannis uses her to advance his own cause.

@awesam: No Joffrey wasn't since he is a Hill, not a Baratheon. He's Jamie's bastard. Ned was planning on making one of Robert's bastards the king eventually, which is why Cersei had all the bastards killed, and why Ned lost his head. I think it's been a while since you've watched season 1.

Also, if you think that Stannis isn't manipulated by Melisandre...well you haven't been paying attention. She manipulated him into f***ing her and making a smoke monster to kill his younger brother, she convinced him to attack King's Landing before he was ready by telling him the Lord of Light would ensure his victory, she convinced him to lock up Ser Davos, to sacrifice people to the Lord of Light, to torture Gendry and use his blood for his personal hit list, etc.
