Which Japanese dark fantasy genre comic/anime do you like?

I didn't know Hunter X Hunter was considered a dark fantasy. Seemed like a pretty standard shonen to me.

Anyway, Claymore should be up there

Neon Genesis Evangelion is the greatest accomplishment of humankind, but it's not dark fantasy. It's psychological and philosophical science-fiction. 
 
BERSERK is the best dark fantasy manga.

True, but I think it jumped the shark once they got on the pirate ship to fairy land. That and they release a new chapter every year or so.
