I really like how it was handled in Bioshock Infinite, I know it's different than a lot of what's being mentioned here, but as a fan of the series I felt compelled to mention it. :)

Yeah, bioshock's world was cool. I'd like to see the next game take place in an alternate future.

I find hard having a sequel for Bioshock Infinite 2. The ending wrapped things up pretty well (the same thing applies to the first Bioshock).
