I remember South Park being huge as a kid, Family Guy never took off in the same way, it was the sort of show your friends would know about but your family may never have heard of.

Although they both went downhill South Park bounced back and is personally better than it was originally, Family Guy is now mediocre at best.

South Park. Family Guy gets more views per episode, but that's not not a pure measurement of sucessfulness. The only merchandise I've ever seen for family guy is stewie plushies, I've seen just about everything with a south park variant. South Park has never been cancelled. South Park has had a legitimate film. South Park also has had a full fledged game that wasn't just made as a quick cash in and that was critically acclaimed.

South Park. Family Guy is a painfully idiotic show. Idk how people watch it. Then again people watch a plethora of dumb stuff.

Family Guy is probably more popular. South Park is a much better show, though.

South Park. Not because it was the show my friends and I weren't allowed to watch when we were younger, but because of its spot-on take of Canadians and our flatulent pride.
