I like a lot of sad songs but I can't think of any that make me teary-eyed when I listen to them
on a random shuffle through my iTunes, these are the first few that came to mind...I'd define them as sad for various reasons, either the overall feel, the lyrics or the meaning behind it
Pink - Please Don't Leave Me
Sum 41 - Crash
Billy Talent - White Sparrows
Blue October - Into the Ocean
Rise Against - The Approaching Curve
Snow Patrol - You Could Be Happy
Pussycat Dolls - I Hate this Part
Kanye West - Runaway
Apocalyptica feat. Lacey Mosley - Broken Pieces
Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony
John Cale - Hallelujah
D12 - Good Die Young
+44 - No It Isn't
Staind - Everything Changes
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone
Box Car Racer - Elevator
The Fray - How to Save a Life
My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You
Eminem - Space Bound
Blink-182 - Stockholm Syndrome
Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
Seether - Broken
12 Stones - Lie to Me
Hinder - Better than Me
All-American Rejects - Swing, Swing
Sick Puppies - My World
God this has gotta be the hardest thread to answer so much sadness
agreed. And for some reason, "sad music" is one of my favorite genres. Not emo or goth or depressing music, but sad, honest, heart wrenching, heartbroken music is one of my favorite playlists to make. But here's a few.....
Not my absolute favourite but it did spring to mind:

Totally agree with those.
Watching the video, and seeing that some of these people were never found gets me a bit choked up.
