" Vampires are overrated. "You should read some of the really old stories about vampires from eastern Europe. They're more bestial and have powers. F##k the romanticized vampire, give me the beast that tears out throats instead of two little wimpy holes any day lol.
" @Vortex13: Amen to that! "I remember renting a book from the library that was full of old eastern European stories about all different kinds of folklore. There was a picture of a vampire.... it is one of the freakiest things I have seen in a book til this day. Anyway it was tall, naked, skinny it had naturally long arms and legs. But the thing I remember most about that picture is (unfortunately) it's junk. It was massive and covered in hair it was so disturbing for my eleven-year-old eyes lol. It was like another limb swinging past it's knees, it just was so wrong lol.
In fact I think I speak for all of us when I say that.
I'm sticking to my zombies, for I know that because of the romanced vampires, there will (probably already are) romanced werewolves.
But in order to romance zombies, someone would deliberately have to come out as a necrophiliac (originally I thought you had to do that with vampires, but it turns out that vampires don't have to be dead to be vampires)...unless they went for voodoo zombies...but then that'd make them...what's the word for people who take advantage of others?
" @Yaujtapool: 'Cause I changed to zombies. the Werewolf is yours. "Wonderful =D

Brilliant, thats the way forward .
@hdorman1
Nice werewolf .
Sphinx, Echidna, Medusa (gorgons in general), Namanari, Mara, Hannya, Bakeneko, Krasue, Nereids, Naiads, Oceanids, Baku, Minotaur, Vampires, the Nemean Lion, Dawon
woa , that's cool man .
Technically though this is a God so since god's are out of the question I will have to go with a Mara-
this is mine ,i know it's a little bit overrated but anyway :
the dragon
Dybbuk. This is an evil spirit of ancient Jewish myth that is said to make it's home in a victims mind, creating a distinct separate personality that does evil things. I find this fasinating on so many levels, it is a strange explanation of mental illness in the ancient world before they understood it. Cool right?
And this one is from Japanese folklore that I think a lot of you will appreciate.
Leviathan and Thunder Bird
The original terrifying sea monster from the Bible. It can shoot flames from its mouth and has impenetrable armor. Later it was adapted to a term simply referring to any fish-like or reptilian sea monster much like Ceto from Greek mythology.
The immensely powerful creature of Native American legend was said to bring storms. Its flapping wings are like thunder and lightning runs through its veins.
