Titanic is on right now and it just got me thinking about sad movies. The soundtrack for Titanic is what does it for me. So what's the saddest you've ever seen and why?
What's the saddest movie you have ever seen?
Schindler's List
Yep.
@lateralus: The weight of both of them on the door weighed it down into the water too much I think.
@jayc1324: I can't take Titanic seriously as a sad movie because of this
Anyone done the math on whether or not the board could hold both of their weight without sinking? I see pictures like this all the time and I can't help but think there could be other explanations then size that kept him from getting on.. Or maybe I just -really- don't want the movie to get ruined for me.

@lateralus: Hm I guess its possible but the movie would not be as sad or good if they did that. Assuming the board was the same size and thickness.
These are the first 5 that came to mind. Probably pretty close to my overall top 5 as well. I doubt I could even get through The Elephant Man again. Saw it once when I was younger. Maybe 11 or so. Bawled my little eyes out so hard I split my lip from dehydration. My mom felt so terrible.
United 93 (not a tear jerker type sad....but definitely one of the sadder movies ever)
Requiem for a Dream (also not tear jerker type sad)
Toy Story 3
The Elephant Man
The Ice Storm
Philadelphia
Man on Fire
Dead Poet's Society
Dear Zachary
My Life
Yo! Wanna be besties now?
United 93 and Man on Fire are great choices as well.
@jaken7: I noticed when mine added that your post went in like 36 seconds earlier with those 2 movies on it lol
Hah! Yeah, knew it had to be ridiculously close. It's even funnier because no one else had mentioned those 2 movies yet.
Completely forgot about the Elephant Man. I am changing my vote.
Right!? Also, your username is perfect for this thread. It sounds like it starts with "sad," but I guess it technically doesn't. xD
You could have posted the entire movie, it is on youtube.
This movie wasn't very sad but Place Beyond the Pines had a depressing sound track. And 42 was sad seeing how they treated Jackie and uhhhh 12 years a Slave. 50/50 was sad to say it had comedy
