Never send a text message or e-mail, at the very least do it over the phone. I think a very simple, "I'm sorry but this is not working out." Would probably be best.

Talk to her in person (face-to-face) and tell her why you're breaking up with her while being as honest as you can without being mean, hurtful and/or cold. Be as nice as you can be but make it clear why and that you are, indeed, breaking up.

Because you're breaking up with someone - out of respect and regard to that person - you do it face to face or at least on a phone.

I am so glad someone brought this up. As tricky as it is to break up with someone, it is easy to fall into the trap of giving someone false hope because you are trying not to hurt them. And man....that can get all kinds of ugly O_O

As corny as it sounds, just be honest. Either call or do it in person and tell her why you want to break up. She might try to change your mind but don't fall for it. If you do, you will likley be in the same situation within two or three weeks. Just do it , be straight forward and get it over with.

But yeah, probably this if the OP is seriously breaking up with someone.

Well, something like this is complicated, so I will leave helpful instructions.

E. Top rope flying Hurricanrana, then transition into an atomic elbow and then Boston crab. Not against her obviously, but the new person you are cheating on her with. When she sees you wrestling another person her heart will break knowing you that you are being so intimate with another to perform such over moves.
