@wolverine08: Awesome at selling baloney to people who know or at least should know it's baloney.
@wolverine08: Not denying it
Not gonna lie - even I am starting to lose hope in the Superman/Batman movie now. I didn't mind Ben Affleck as Batman, nor did I mind Wonder Woman being in the film and I'm actually glad to see she's finally going to be on the big screen, and Lex Luthor's casting didn't bother me either, but Cyborg being cast is starting to push it for me.
I'm trying to be hopeful for this movie, but this casting news is now causing me to lose hope.
so I watched "The Amazing Spider-Man" last night out of pure boredom, and you know what? I enjoyed it a lot more than when I saw it in Theaters. When I saw it the first time, I felt like it didn't have enough of an impact as the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films did and I thought that they handled his origin story a bit sloppily. But this time around, I actually found his origin to be more enjoyable and on par with the first Spider-Man film. I had a major problem with Uncle Ben not saying, "With great power, comes great responsibility" but I think Martin Sheen's performance was so good that the iconic line can be overlooked. I felt that the origin of Spider-Man felt very much inspired by "Batman Begins" and I felt it worked just as much as the classic origin did in the first Spider-Man film. The references to the larger Spider-Man world were not as lost on me as the first time viewing and I definitely picked up on more Easter eggs. Andrew Garfield is a wonderful Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Does a way better job then Tobey "Wuss" Maguire did in all 3 films. The only major problems I had were with the length and the villain; I felt like Curt Connors went from being good to evil too quickly and I felt Rhys Ifans' performance for the first half of the film was really good, but when he became the Lizard, it just didn't feel like a natural transition. I got the fact that he was trying to "Rid the world of weakness" but I mean, that didn't translate well into turning NYC into a town of Lizard people lol. Second problem was the length; first half the movie was solid, but the second half definitely dragged a bit. They could have made it about 20 minutes shorter and I think it would have been a lot better. That being said, the performances were good, I liked the storyline, and I felt that the special effects were really good. I'd give it a 7/10. Now looking forward to seeing the sequel.
I'm itching for a debate man.

They will live on as "Legends"...but will still be non-canon. =(
Disney made post ROTJ EU non-canon.....
Scrap that; it seems like everything EU is non-canon atm except TCW and the new Rebels cartoon.
When you were just starting to get into Star Wars.....this happens. T_T

So it won't be canon?
Time to go into "vengeful villain" mode.
