If he/she bites/attacks you? Knowing if you report it that the dog will be put down

#2 Edited by dccomicsrule2011 (23302 posts) - - Show Bio

Depends. Why did the dog in question bite me from the start?

Depends. If it's my dog, I already know she has her shots, and she's healthy.

I'll let it go.

DEATH OR EXILE!!!!!

#9 Edited by MaccyD (3553 posts) - - Show Bio

Punish him and let him know it's not acceptable. There's no point in reporting it if it's a once-off.

I'd probably be more wary if I had children though.

Um, what country are you from? I don't know that that's the law where I live.

Depends on why it bit me and how hard.

Nothing is going down with my dog, I will protect the little guy til the end. He was attacked by 2 German Shepard's at once on one occasion and by 2 pitbulls on another. The Shepard's are afraid when we walk through everyday. In case and point of the pits, well they almost died that day, my dog received to minimal marks from them. You can't tell it happened. My dog's name is Cody and he is a mixed breed-Shitzu/American Bulldog -he's a Bullshitz, yes that's a real breed and technical name. He looks similar to a French Bulldog, but with more muscle definition, and weighs 34ibs. Cody is small, actually like a puppy that has stop growing, but if anyone tries to harm him, it game over!! We rule!

No, of course not. It was probably an accident anyway.

@evilvegeta74: You two sound close. That's great!

I love my little guy, he's on the couch with me now! Many of the neighborhood kids love him as well regardless of nationality. We can't go past children without them running up to pet Cody!

Rico is fortunate to have you in his life. I'm glad he has bonded well with you! There is nothing like a bond between a dog and their owners. You could almost say it's sacred.

Why the hell would I have heard about American animal control laws? I'm Canadian.

@squares: I initially thought you were an American dude. I was wrong twice.

You're not cheating if it's your dog. You know, because it's YOUR dog.

Lol, that's so Russell.

Dogs make mistakes. I don't want a dog's blood on my hands. It's nothing personal, so it's okay with me, I guess... I would blame the owner more than the dog, to be honest.

#34 Posted by PrinceAragorn1 (16128 posts) - - Show Bio

Idk.. I have never been attacked by even the most vicious dogs. Much less my own.

#35 Posted by lesterlawton (681 posts) - - Show Bio

If your dog bites you and you have it put down, you should consider never having children. Chances are, you're the problem.

#36 Posted by cameron83 (6676 posts) - - Show Bio

Why would he attack me?

Anyway,I would NEVER do that to my dog...I would never.

#37 Posted by Veshark (9058 posts) - - Show Bio

One isolated incident? I'd smack it across the face with a rolled-up newspaper until it learns to behave. Worked remarkably well with my last dog when my mom did it.

#38 Posted by Aiden Cross (15562 posts) - - Show Bio

That means you need more training on how to handle a dog. You can see the signs of an attack beforehand and correct him before he actually attacks. I'd go to a dog training course with him/her.

I once kept pushing my dog out of the way with my head from eating and it almost bit me in the face. I had to slap a b!tch that day.
