I registered here so I can respond to this post and offer my 2 cents. First of all, if Goku were in this game, at least he would have a legitimate reason to fight Superman, since he IS oppressing the world, and that is the one thing Goku will NOT tolerate. Also, I had an idea: When Goku arrives in the Injustice universe, he is soon approached by Saint Walker (accompanied by Ganthet and Sayd) , Blue Lantern of Space Sector 0001. He tells Goku that he was drawn to Goku because he sensed that Goku had the ability to instill great hope, and Saint Walker sensed that there was little hope on Planet Earth due to Superman ruling with an iron fist. He puts a Blue Power Ring on Goku's finger and tells him, "Kakarot* of the Planet Vegeta, you have the ability to instill great hope. Welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps." So he goes down there, encounters High Councilor Superman, they argue, skirmish a little bit, then Goku uses his ring against Superman. Since his greatest desire/hope is to see his family again, Goku's ring creates a construct based on the late Lois Lane-Kent and what would have been his son. The constructs get hold of Superman's heart and soul and tell him that everything would be alright, that he is forgiven for what he did, even though he unknowingly did it. After the illusion dies down, Superman--overcome with grief and remorse-- abdicates his throne, disbands the One Earth government, and then surrenders himself to the Insurgency.
*=Why did I use Goku's birth name? Well, during the Blackest Night, when Superman was taken by a Black Ring, the ring did not use his given Earth name; it announced his birth name AND planet, so it is assumed that the rings announce a candidate's birth name, not alias (even though there may have been some exceptions).
