What was your first post?

Since...you never forget your first time...how about the y'alls and folk of the Vine do a little digging and find your first post ever? Or even just your most annoying one?

Mine was this. I was fresh off of batman.wikia.com and had just read my first comicbook hours before, neither of which stopped me from this essay in critique.

What your failing to realize man is that batmans villians are suppossed to be both his opposite and a dark reflection, like a metaphorical bat-mirror. Think of it this way: doesnt jokers wildly flamboyount style, almost feminine, loud, and boisterous demanor contrast perfectly with the mysteriously frightening and brooding direction our dark knight delves into? Joker says it himself that he and Bats are more alike than he wants to admit, like two sociopaths walking in opposite directions down arkham's hallway. While bats always has focus and motive, jokers appear to raise hell for..well, the hell of it. Batman is at the peak of physical perfection, yet his frail clownish nemesis has bested him in combat before. And the fact that jokers ability to go two-to-two with Bats fluctuates adds to his percieved notion of changing character depending on the day. Jokers has developed as the dcu's free agent capable of matching both wits and brawns with the best (just ask alexander luthors head) when he feels like it. Joker is an enigma, who knows when hes telling the truth, and i think the writers have been using him as an impasse of the direction batman could go in had he broken psychologically. After all, isnt every batman villian as obsessed with him as he is with keeping some "punk with a gun" off the streets? Batman comics are as much about narrative as they are about detective work and fisticuffs. And notice, he has all this brilliant characterization partly BECAUSE he is a complete 180* of bats and BECAUSE he is, physically, very comical. Joker is plenty scary without being obvious, although i love heath ledgers depiction and i like how joker has that glasgow smile now, the dcu's colorful, clown garbed, version just works better in a comic book. P.S. Technically you can't count what happened in batman #1 because of that little crisis thing back in the 80's, plus wasnt that earth-one whch doesnt exist anyhow.

Lets see.... Emma knows her telepathy isn't much against Storms brain, so I could see Emma tring to persuade Storm into a hand to hand fight. Storm is a bit more prideful than other characters, but even then I think Emma could only winif she cheated with the diamond skin. Still getting Storm to fight hand to hand with such an obvious advantage over Emma is a bit silly, but you want to argue XD. I say Storm, I like the White Queen, but she falls short without her telepathy.

Hi. Well, if anyone has read the "Mystic Arcana" series, you will see that they plan or doing a whole lot more with Storm's ancestor, Ashake. After reading this series, and seeing Ashake's part in it, I have really been thinking lately. If you had to choose, Alternate universes, and 616 universe included, would you choose magic Storm, or do you still like good ole' mutant Storm?

My first post was a thread..........and it was back when I was genuinely nice, and everyone actually liked me

It was.......................and I also had an Ashake avatar, and my alignment was "blue" like yours........I didn't really cuss...........and the evil alignment was actually a see through "pinkish" color, because it was the original site.........You had to input "(//quote) style ish at the end of your comments in order to have effects like changing the color of your letters...........I still remember the hype surrounding "Comicvine 2.0"...........Babs was "Batgirlbabs" and we actually talked, I had 4 people who were mainstays in my pm inbox, and everyone thought I was a girl........times change

It is the one of two things we are guranteed in life change and dying....

While this may be somewhat dead, I say Deathstroke. Don't get me wrong, I'd normally advocate for the ol' merc with a mouth any day, but Deathstroke is just better. Jeez man that was over four years ago, how the hell am I going to remember. S##t, I don't even remember what thread it was in lol.

Just looked it up it was actually only 3 years and four months ago. Must have been lurking around for like a year with an account lol. It was in a battle thread for Luke Cage vs Cyborg where I argued that Luke Cage possibly had tougher skin than cyborg. And you know what I'd still stand by that. I didn't say he would win but that it would be a close fight. That part was definitely wrong though lol.
