what was it?
what was your first comic book?
I really had to wrack my brain for this one. The first comic I can recall reading were from a dentist's office and was Avengers 198. The cover was hard to forget.
@amazingspiderman15: Same as you :)
I got some Marvel multi-pack from the Sears catalog.
I remember it had a Hellstorm, but don't remember the story. It had a Spider-Man comic where Johnny Storm was playing some elaborate practacle joke on him (made up a new villian, burnt a scarecrow that has half Spider-Man, half dressed like Peter Parker.)
First ones I bought were Mr. Miracle, Swamp Thing, and Firestorm. (Elemental Wars was my first Arc.) Angel and Ape and Transformers were also comics I quickly got into.
@kittyparker13: I'd say it counts. It's all a part of the same family and if it helped get you into comics all the better.
Nice avatar btw. I love Kitty and own that volume too.
For years all I could remember were a few certain panels from my first comic. With the help of fellow Viner The_Tree I learned it was Spectacular Spider-Man 141.
I recently re-bought the issue and it brought back all the memories from that summer day when I picked this off the magazine rack at the local IGA.
A random superman comic I found on PSN when they still did comics
psn did comics?
I can't remember the specific issue but it was either a Silver Age Superman comic I got as a present, or a Spiderman comic I got in the mail. I was pretty young so it's hard to recall.

I seriously can't remember. I know it was an X-Men comic and I was completely lost. Magneto was still a bad guy in it.
It was a Simpson comic.
this has nothing to do with your post but.
STARGATE FANS!!!!! WOOT WOOT
My first comic was a random spider man issue during the 'Back in Black' storyline. As a kid I loved the look of the symbiote suit, so when I saw the cover with him in that suit on the stand, I picked it up in a heartbeat.
Now at the time I was like 6 to 9 maybe, so I read that one issue and read it several times over instead of buying the rest of the story.
The first one I can remember reading was the Amazing Spider-Man #1 with the Chameleon and the Fantastic Four. It was a reprint, of course.
That was my first comic, too! I got it in an Easter basket.

lol
The first comic I saw/owned was Namor, the Sub-Mariner #2 - Eagle's Wing and Lion's Claw.
My older brother got it while he was out trick-or-treating one Halloween, and handed it off to me 'cause he didn't want it. Had not idea what was going on, but I thought it was pretty cool.
The first comic I bought was probably Gargoyles #1.

imagine if you had a mint copy from the 60's, would you sell it or keep it
Probably the most entertaining one ever.
is that book worth getting?
As a kid I had a few random comics passed down to me from my step-dad, who was a moderate comics fan (not as into it as people like us but a bit more than casual). I had the impression there were more that he had a kid but didn't make it to adulthood.
Anyway, I can't remember exactly what most of them were, but one sticks out in my mind:
Probably the most entertaining one ever.

Yeah, it is pretty awesome. It is detective orientated. It has many fights, even a scuffle with a very popular hero (I don't want to give you to many details haha). Amazing artwork (Jim Lee). I'd give it a 9.5/10
It was one of these 2...
Not sure which one came first. I had 'em when I was a wee babby, way before I was really into comics.
that wolverine cover looks like that scene from avx
@amazingspiderman15: Lol. Well it's not anything like that. Wolvie and Spidey go for a stroll in the sewers, and then at the end of the issue, they find...Mole-Man!!!!!!
xD
@amazingspiderman15: I'd keep it, definitely.
@irishx: That's cool. :) Always nice to meet another Kitty fan.
