What was the saddest event ever to happen in FF history?

Aeris's death (I agree with Fesak. FF wouldn't be the same), and there was a part in FFIX that was pretty darn sad....can't remember which though....

Every single moment in FFX when Yuna isn't on screen ? I never got to finish that game.. gave my PS2 to my brother when i got the PS3 (please, please, no console-war flames), then realised most PS2 games wouldn't work. I miss her..

Best game ever.

I have played every Final Fantasy game made but honestly the one moment that made me cry the most, although maybe not neccessarily because it was sad would be the ending of 13, the moment Sazh see's his son.

For just pure sad though I guess I have to go with Aerith's death, FF6 had some better moments but Aerith's death was probably the first time I cried to a video game ever.

Although FF 7 is far and away my favorite FF game, I didn't find Aerith's death that sad. I actually thought it predictable and wasn't a big fan of her character anyway. Not saying she deserved death for that, but just saying.

I was sad when I beat the game and it was over. I so badly wanted more.
