i haven't seen Chronicle, but for me personally, it seems like that i would like that better. Inception was just meh
I enjoyed Chronicle more.
@jonny_anonymous: You know where that sound comes from, yeah?
@jaken7: A cat?
@jonny_anonymous: No. You know the song they used to signal a kick in the film? Edith Piaf's "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien?" The entire soundtrack was created by slowing that song down. So in the dreams when we hear the score, it's like the warning song is being played at the same pace the dream is being perceived due to the brain's increased processing speed with each level of the dream. The "BRRRAAAAAAMMMM" sound is the big blare you hear from the brass section in the song, just slowed down. Hans Zimmer is a genius.
I enjoyed Chronicle more. I didn't like any of the characters in Inception, well except for Tom Hardy's character.
@jaken7: That's pretty great actually
@jonny_anonymous: Right? Of course I only learned of it years after first seeing the film in cinemas.
@The_Deathstroker: Well being privy to the identity of your alt, it looks like your overall total is 8,645 posts. Not too far behind, honey bunny.
@jaken7: Give me a minute, I'm good. Give me an hour, I'm great. Give me six months, I'm unbeatable.
Inception. I love things that make you think, especially movies. Especially when there's a two way side to the ending.
Chronicle.
Simply put; Chronicle was the most depressing/dark movie I've seen in my life. Throughout the whole of my time watching the film, I just felt uncomfortable. It all felt to creepy; yet so real, and that's what I LOVE so much about it. I'd never watch the movie again, it just gives me an unpleasant feeling, but I kudos the director for that. He and Dane DeHaan should both win Oscars; the more is fantastically/wonderfully put together - and they really took advantage of the found footage. I truly felt the madness here.
@jaken7: "Prejudice" would imply that I had pre-judged the film before going into it, which I had not. I was actually expecting to quite like it, I simply did not. It played into far too many overly-complex, overly-"artistic" film tropes that mere meant to instill a sensation of confusion rather than entertainment, and we were all supposed to enjoy it anyway because of its high concept and clumsy handling. And that's fine, a lot of people like that (David Lynch still has a fanbase, after all). I just don't.
@joygirl: That isn't what this connotation of prejudice would imply in context at all, but whatevs. Not gonna get into dumb semantics. I honestly didn't see any of the things that made you dislike the film, so I'll have to take your word for it. My favorite part of the movie is the soundtrack anyways, as I explained in post #9.
Inception. I would have liked Chronicle more if it wasn't found footage. I think found footage is incredibly dumb.
Inception. I love things that make you think, especially movies. Especially when there's a two way side to the ending.
Let's see......you have shaky camera garbage with 0 character build and a rushed plot with poor acting vs. a cerebral and brilliant movie with great acting, character/story building and a unique ending.
@eisenfauste: You're shaky camera garbage. :P
Chronicle was so cool. I really want a second one. Inception was meh but had cool effects!

@eisenfauste: You can't hurt me. I'm the one.
