Caustic reviewers had annoyed the hell out of me. Ever since TGWTG and AVGN became popular, everyone started adopting the "abrasive, scathing movie buff" gimmick who picks any movie/game/story to rip them apart, screaming and whining for humor. The Blockbuster Buster and the Irate Gamer are the first ones that comes to mind as the lowest common denominator in the Internet reviewing. IG is just plain painful to watch while, BB's his joke can be summed up as "What could possibly go wrong" then something bad happens. Every. F*cking. Review.
Also I can't stand reviewers that try to integrate some sort of storyline in to their reviews to keep the audience interested. Red Letter Media and Linkara are severely guilty of this, the latter more than the former. I honestly don't give a rat's ass about Linkara having to save the Universe from some multiverse conqueror or evil abomination from the void or whatever, the reason I stopped watching Atop the Fourth Wall was because the storylines became more prevalent with the review. I understand you are trying to tell a story, but goddammit, MAKE A MOTHERF*CK*NG STORY OUTSIDE OF THE MOTHERF*CK*NG REVIEW!!!
The only reviewers I give a crap these days are JeremyJahns (his reviews are usually five minutes and he tells what you he thinks without rambling like most reviewers) and AngryJoe (yeah, despite what I just said above, he doesn't quite fit the category, he is pretty informative and honest to his reviews).
