The question is simple... What game should I play through again? The epic action RPG Mass Effect 1? Or, the beautiful wasteland exploring RPG Fallout 3?
I've played through both only once in the past. The reason I'd want to play Mass Effect 1 is to refresh my memory before (one day) buying Mass Effect 2. The reason I'd want to play Fallout 3 again is...Well, because it's simply awesome.
So, which do I choose? Results were mixed from my friends on the face of book.
What should I re-play? Mass Effect 1 VS Fallout 3
I just started re playing Mass Effect as a soldier to see what it wold be like as a tank character... I havent finished my first play through of Fallout 3 yet, though I'm at level 27 I think...
I'd say Mass Effect. Fallout has lost its challenge for me I think, and I love it, but doubt I will even finish it before New Vegas comes out.
Well if you want to refresh yourself on the franchise and have a new saved character I would go with Mass Effect. But there are very few games that can compete with Fall Out 3 for the sheer replay ability, and they have a ton of DLC now to add to the experience, and I would say they are definitely worth getting. Operation Anchorage gives you some good back story about the Chinese/American War, Point Lookout offers a whole new area to explore, I haven't played Mothership Zeta yet but if you love running around space ships slaughtering aliens then that's a good one, I also haven't played Broken Steel or the one that takes place in Pittsburgh yet. Broken Steel is supposedly for after the main game is finished and the Pittsburgh one is a totally different character and story nothing to do with the main story but it can't hurt.

All Good and true
The replay value of Fall Out 3 is off the charts. So many different ways you can play through it, each way so satisfying.
