what's taking incredibles 2 so long?

its been almost 10 years and there hasn't been even a announcement about making this movie wth?

There are lots of other movies to make.

some problem with the people that originally made it

the script writer or the director, I dont know which, left
Pixar and now they can't do it for some reason....

that really isn't excuse the story would be easy to make just make the kids grow up there easy as that but i do know theres more too it but if i see another cars movie before i see incredibles 2 ill be pissed

Incredibles was the best thing Pixar/ Disney has ever made!

- Everything else is straight up garbage!

It took Pixar 12 years to make a Monster's Inc sequel. Give it a couple years.

i agree that its my favorite too but the only garbage that pixar has ever made was cars and cars 2

So instead of bringing us Incredibles 2, they brings us... ugh... Cars 2 and Planes? Monsters University was alright, but Pixar better blow me away in the next film. Hell, I'd even say Dreamworks is doing better at this point.

Incredibles wasn't that good, all the family dynamic was well done, sure; the story and the villain were not.

Not really a Pixar fan, but I think they're probably just sitting on incredibles as a back up plan.

the story was great it was about a superhero going through a mid life crisis where else have you seen that? the story was original and the villain was great idk what your talking about

yes it is a problem or an excuse because I don't really know what's about but BECAUSE that guy left, they can't really touch Incredibles for some reason. that's why they haven't even started anything or announced anything because they can't touch now that the guy left. they' d need to get around the problems that caused and I think it involves legal matters

I liked Monsters University, and they're coming out with Finding Dory.

if you're talking about Brad Bird he is still with disney he never left he just said that he wants to take a break from animation and do live action for a while

Hopefully it'll happen. Glad they made the prequel to Monster's Inc. I remember seeing the first in theaters along with Finding Nemo and The Incredibles. Great movies.

yea he always wanted to do live action which is fair you know he put out so many great movies ill be fine if he moves on to some different projects but he still needs to do incredibles 2 he just has too

Um when did I exactly hate on Incredibles ? Please find me a post on here from me that indicates that. I only said that I am not that bothered about a sequel. Others have also done this.

This is something that they should totally take their time with if they are going to do a sequel for it. Get the right team together, get the timing right...lotta factors for making these big animated productions.

The Incredibles was great. But, really, do we want to risk it being potentially ruined by a crappy sequel?

@mrdecepticonleader: i made a thread for people that want to see a sequel and you come in saying you don't care for a sequel that is called hating my friend but don't worry about it when positivity is around there is bound to be hate in a few people

Other people have said they don't want to see a sequel well I didn't even say I wanted to see one just that I wasn't that fussed about one as all. How am I hating just by saying that? Just by expressing my view which is appropriate to the thread.

Yeah I'd rather they leave it as a stand alone classic than ruin it with a rushed sequel.
