@cable_extreme:

I see what you mean on what you used to believe in, cause it does make sense in a way. I also really like the clock comparison you used. Good analogy!

And I did some thinking on my agnostic theist view compared to a deist.

One thing stood out to me. Afterlife. I do believe in an afterlife. So if a deists' god does not intervene or governs, there can't be any right or wrong decisions in your life and you will technically end up at the same place after you die.(no hell or heaven) or once your dead your dead.

-but remember this is me just assuming , I do not know for sure If there is a heaven or hell in a deists view of life.

- then there is a theist where god governs and intervenes.

- in my mind, I believe the god knows if you have done wrong or right with your life, however I don't believe he intervenes ( ex. Miracles )

Anyways im sticking with the agnostic theist view because i believe in a deity but i still question it here and there, and I'm very very skeptical when it comes to knowing who created us, is there an afterlife, does god govern, etc...

But before i began replying to you, I came across the sacred booty on this thread page, so I think I may have a new religion, Bootyism!!!! Praise the sacred Booty!!!!!!

I was a Deist until I switched to Bootyism now I see the world in a better light.

@immortal777: Why be a Deist, why you can be a Geist?

Sincerely,

@goldenoozaru22: I know a lot of Deist that believe in an afterlife, they believe that the "higher power"gave life the ability to reason. So there is a sense of right and wrong, and deist in general are very different between eachother. A deist is basically a person that believes in a god, but doesn't interfere in every day life. Everything else I told you was my take of what I believed when I was a deist.

Very interesting, thanks for informing me about this. I will look more into deism. But I do have a question, why did you venture away from it?

Well, I found my notebook that I lost a long time ago (Has my thoughts), I am a Deist now. What made me venture away was social pressure from my friends, but I am deciding to simply believe what makes sense and feels right.

Atheists are only hurting themselves. Their going to be salty when they're answering to God one day.

#126 Posted by GoldenOozaru22 (159 posts) - - Show Bio

@spidermanandsuperman:

Stop criticizing someone's view on life.

Let them think what they want.

Because who knows, their view on life actually might be the one who is correct.

Which god will that be? One of the ones that people currently believe in or ones that no one does anymore? Or maybe a god that has yet to be made up? Which one?

Scientology? what the f**k? sounds like some rich idiot got bored and made up an unimaginative and weird cult, though it is harmless but offensive

Atheism is as much of a religion as not collecting stamps is a hobby.
