American of Polish/German/Greek descent
What race are you?
It doesn't matter because it doesn't matter what race anyone actually is.It's a general question. It's not like the OP is going to use the information. If people give an answer that wasn't asked for..oh well.I doubt there is nobody here who doesn't know the difference between race and nationality.Maybe they just want you to know where they are from as well. There are people giving answers like "mutant", "wakandan" "robo-american" and it's fine because nobody needs the information.REALLY? Is a black man born in France of caribbean heritage considered an African American? What about South Africa? or Canada? or just about any other country on Earth? The world isn't as segregated as that anymore, the global melting pot isn't a new thing. That is why it matters. "
As far as the silly questions you're asking race is still in some way related to nationality.Alot closer in comparison than a number and a color which is why people are giving the answers you are enquiring about. At any rate as I said it doesn't matter. It's not like he asked a question that requires an answer that would help him gain further knowledge on a certain subject. It's a curiosity question.
You can be glad that they did what they did, you can't feel proud of your ancestry, though. You can't be proud of anything that you haven't directly effected yourself. Other than that you are just a fan of a team like in sports. it is no different. why don't people think?" And what's wrong with being proud of ancestry? "

If that's you in your avatar..it's obvious you are a grown man...so why are you asking such stupid questions? What other people answer to this shouldn't matter this much to you this much.If you're not proud of your ancestry...Oh well, good for you.Don't tell people what they can and cannot be proud of.Take your opinion and keep it to yourself." why is everyone so proud of their ancestry? what was your part in it? why we remember deaths not lives? "
White. Very very white, I do not think there is any ancestry in me within the last 500 years that comes from any populace that are not pale pale people lol. Supposedly I have a little bit of Cherokee in me but I'm not sure I buy that, that great aunt of mine said a lot of weird things before she died. Who knows though maybe she really did have a Cherokee great great uncle. It's just no one else in my family believes it to be true lol.

American by birth, Mexican/European by heritage.
But since my hair is long I've assumed a Samoan identity, and i'm also Black-by-proxy.
Don't ask me what "by-proxy" means, my older sister used the term before I did, and since my best friend is (half) black and we're close like brothers, I've become black-by-proxy, and he mexican-by-proxy.
