Mines are Hellsing, Abenobashi, Pokemon and Bleach

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Code Geass.

I liked Pokemon back in 1999-2000, but I haven't seen anything made since then.

There is a ton of anime I have seen over the years. Here are the ones I like.

  1. Bleach
  2. DBZ/DBZ Kai, I like both series, Kai for not having so much filler stuff but I think they censored some stuff. Still both are great series.
  3. Full Metal Alchemist/Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, I prefer Brotherhood, it stays closer to the source material. I enjoyed the original series but Brotherhood I really prefer Brotherhood.
  4. Death Note
  5. Sword Art Online
  6. Trigun
  7. Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate, Ultimate is crazy and bloody, I love it!
  8. Naruto/Naruto Shippuden
  9. Fairy Tail
  10. Code Geass
  11. One Piece
  12. Rurouni Kenshin when I was a kid
  13. Yu Yu Hakasho when I was kid
  14. DBGT
  15. Soul Eater
  16. Cowboy Bebop
  17. InuYasha
  18. The First Four Digimon series
  19. Pokemon for a while when I was kid, think I stopped when they changed Ash's voice actor.
  20. Highschool Dxd, a guilty pleasure of mine.....
  21. Aesthetica or a Rogue Hero is another guilty pleasure of mine.....

That is a lot of anime.

In terms of overall quality I like Bebop a hell of a lot more then every anime on this list.

#29 Posted by redbird3rdboywonder (4030 posts) - - Show Bio

@saoakden: You have the most awesome list ever, why because you're the only one to put Yu Yu Hakusho on it, so disappointed with the rest of the posters for not recognizing Yu Yu Hakusho as one of the greatest of all time, though that said I don't see Rurouni Kenshin on anyone's list

@redbird3rdboywonder: Thanks. I remember seeing the series when The Dark Tournament was going on. I think I'll watch it again sometime soon. Same with Rurouni Kenshin. It's been a long time since I've seen both those series. I'll have to watch them again sometime soon.

The first arc is absolutely fantastic. The second art is a bit lacking though. mostly because the novels are currently at arc 4 or 5 (iirc)

so its a bit weird when 80% of the anime is focused on arc 1, and then the last bit is on arc 2. its a weird way to end it

kind of like Death note, in which the L arc is amazing and the 2nd arc (forget their retarded names) is stupid.

still worth watching

Fullmetal Alchemist (both 2003 & Brotherhood) : awesome story & setting. Love the concepts applied too (7 deadly sins, Xerxes etc.)

One Piece : Amazingly intricate story, Hilarious, combines many different genres well, great characters, great feels trips.

Code Geass : Great protagonist, love anything related to the British empire (weird obsession of mine),nice roller coaster of events, great ending.

Rurouni Kenshin : Great setting and atmosphere, powerful scenes, nostalgia, great soundtrack.

Steins;Gate : Favourite protagonist, great references, unexpected turn of events & feels trip.

Second tier of favourite animes include: Hunter x Hunter, Naruto Shippuden, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Baccano, Fate/Zero, Attack on Titan, Ghost in the Shell & Gintama.
