What if Raditz had won on Earth and decided to adopt Gohan? What would Gohan be like after being raised and trained by the Saiyans?
What if Raditz had trained Gohan?
Gohan very well might convert Raditz the same way he ended up converting Piccolo. Over a period of time Raditz's heart grows softer and softer, and having his nephew in his life to care for makes him grow stronger. Maybe one day they would take down Freeza.
Gohan would be strong and ruthless just like his weak uncle.
Do I smell a contradiction?

Yep, I did that on purpose.

I'd so read/watch that.
He'd accidentally kill Raditz while training
This.

Nah. I think Raditz was a lot more evil than Piccolo ever was. I can't see him converting.

But Piccolo was evil incarnate. The Nameless Namekian separated his good side and evil side into two separate people, Piccolo is literally made of evil with no goodness in him at all until Gohan befriended him. Raditz showed a surprising amount of humanity for a Saiyan, he genuinely wanted Kakarot to join him as his brother, and even when he realized Kakarot was now Goku, rather than going straight for the kill he bargained first and attempted to force his brother to join him.
You should refresh yourself on Dragon Ball pre-Z, Piccolo was a selfish and sadistic a$$hole who killed because it's fun. Raditz at least didn't murder Krillin when he whacked him with his tail, he was just kinda getting him out of the way.
He'd die. Frieza would have killed the remaining saiyans because he sees no use for them anymore.
@darling_luna: that reminds me of some fan fiction I once read...

Gohan would have ended up fighting Goku and it would have basically been an end of series sort of thing. At least if I did it.
I could see this being an extremely epic fight.
@sinntek1: I meant if Raditz had killed Goku and the others and taken Gohan under his wing. He would teach him about his Saiyan heritage and try to unleash his hidden power. Raditz would get some amazing character development, he'd maybe even sacrifice himself to save Gohan like Piccolo did. As he died he'd beg Gohan for forgiveness and die with a pure heart. Nappa would die heroically somehow holding off Frieza's men or something. Namek would be destroyed and Vegeta would be left with Gohan. Maybe they'd end up on Yardrat?
I HAVE to write this now, it must happen! O:
Gohan would bestrong and ruthlessjust like his weak uncle.
