What if God is proven not to exist?

Let's say Hypothetically that it's proven that God doesn't exist and that when we die we just vanish from existence. Like poof, we are just ordinary stuff laying in the universe around us.

How would you react? How would the world react?

I woudl saythat there would be a lot of deaths and chaos at the very least....

For me, so be it. I am agnostic. I believe personally, there is no way to say one way or the other that there is a god, because our understanding of the universe is still very limited. If irrefutable evidence surfaces, then i will believe that.

I suspect the world would be rather chaotic. The church would have a tough go of it.

If you believe that God can exist then you can believe that Superman or Santa Claus can exist.

I wouldn't affect me because I believe that already, but I doubt the really religious people would ever accept the proof, although the more casual believers would probably be convinced.

I believe in Thor.

Now, the question is, how you can prove that Superman and Santa dont exist? Hmmm. You cant, which means...

Shrugs and accept I was wrong. I know that sounds like crazy. But it's what I'll do. It's not like I'm going to start killing hooker cause there's no eternal repercussions or something.

I'll still be me, I'll still be left with tons of questions, like I am now, probs won't get any answers.

Yeah, there's always people who would still believe in. Whomever if someone like Galactus showed up out of nowhere and said that God is not real, i couldn't deny it. It would depend on how it would be shown.

No, I'm fine with you not believing in God, but equating the belief in God to the belief in a comic book character may is far more disrespectful.

If I understood what you just said correctly, not everyone believes that God was conjured up by men, so yes, it's very disrespectful.

I have a different opinion that I express here.

I would shrug and go on with my life. There would still be mass denial. Not all religions believe in the Abrahamic concept of God. So disproving God doesn't disprove religion altogether.

So? I am aggressive, I am blunt, but what I say is not ironic. As someone who is christian, I found the fact that you called God a comic books character equal, disrespectful.
