I rate this thread a 3 out of 5 stars. It really had potential in the early posts but it never really took off. I wanted to see factions, civil war, cannibalism. Instead all I got was awkwardness and a vague sense of confusion. ::sigh::

You realize that its just one step closer to take more and more freedom from us, right? If a video contain a f-word you will risk a warning. Its such unneeded and unwarranted waste enforcing of the rules... I am not asking to have a right to scream F-BOMBs every time in this site, like you were probably thinking I was saying in that thread, but can things be the way they were?

@transformers1024: First, three moderators accounts were hacked by a very persistent troll, and two days after, the rule about no swearing has being expanded on videos and pictures. It has being said this rule was in since the beginning, but the mods have always being more laid-back about it.

Oh, I knew him...for a long time, I helped the mods against this guy (with the anti-troll squad where we reported all his alts), but he never struck me as intelligent. Not enough to hack anyway, moreso an angry fanboy.

It was 1974. I can remember it like it was yesterday. You see long ago, before the raccoons and llamas, Old Gregg was a moderator! After a year touring with Howard and the Funk, he dived into the realm of fantasy and comics! Old Gregg, became a ComicVine moderator for only a day...He was then assassinated by his evil twin brother who was the husband of Curly Jefferson...Gregg Old. Or, how you may know as 'Go'. He was a moderator until rainbow Twinkies became all the rage. After that, Go flew to Cerulean City to open up a bakery shop. O_O

Me neither... He was more interested in re-opening his banned alts and locking threads that he didn't like than doing something far more harmful. Its not know how he was able to do it, but its up to speculation and they are still investigating. But he is undoubtedly at the very center of this disaster.

Investigating how though? There's little they can do to an anonymous troll. I had many arguments with the clown, and he was a lunatic. But he doesn't care, he'll get away - kids these days, no respect.

They want to see if the update had anything to do it, since its very convenient that he was able to hack into their accounts after the update happening. And they want to make sure if he wasn't alone on this (which would explain a lot how was he able to get into their accounts). I do believe he will return, specially now that The Terminator is getting a reboot, and its just a matter of time. However I suggested that a legal action should be taken since one of the accounts he hacked was a staff, employed by the site, and since he affected his way of earning money, then he should be held accountable for his actions. I don't know if they will do this, or if it will even stop him.

Maybe, but he must have had outside help and he must have planned it to some extent. He usually had long absences before returning, one does not simply hack without preparing to do so.

If he really was smart enough to hack, then he might be smart enough to cover his tracks (which is much easier than hacking). Regarding the legal action, the question is - is it really worth it? Financially?

You are right... If he was smart enough to hack the site, he would have being smart enough to cover his tracks... It would be a waste of money and time trying to make him pay :\ Still he would have done a lot worse than just unbanning his accounts, because if he was smart enough to plan this, he would try to target the people he doesn't like and cripple the community. We are fortunate he haven't tried that.

Yes, he should be smart enough to cover his tracks - but he panicked, that's why he didn't cripple the community. If he panics again, I'm sure they can track him.
