What Genre Is Green Day, In Your Opinion?

Not sure since I never care for genres but love Green Day. Listen to their old work constantly on the iTouch.

Great question. In the older days they were punk rock, but I think now they're considered alternative.

They were never real punk. They fall into a category (in there old days) I call skater punk, which isn't real punk to me. True punk died in the 80's. Now I'd call them emo pop rock.

Meh, Green Day for me is a mixed bag, I don't like most of their stuff with the exception of American Idiot and Dookie (some singles are fun though, like Brain Stew)

They are rock. I wouldn't call them punk, and I certainly wouldn't call them pop.

Alternative rock with some punk and power pop influences.
