What game has the combat that you enjoy the most?

Mine are:

Sword fighting - Ninja gaiden/Dark Souls (I love the fast-paced, reaction based gameplay of NG and the slow-paced strategy-based combat of DS)

3rd person shooting - Resident Evil 5

First Person Shooting - Far Cry 3

Hand to Hand - Sleeping Dogs has the best h2h combat by far, imo.

I like Uncharted third person shooting better and Arkham hand to hand combat better but otherwise I agree. Assassins creed 4 had some great naval combat too.

Sword fighting: Metal Gear Rising

Third Person Shooting: Vanquish (no other game comes close)

First Person Shooting: RAGE

Hand to Hand: Arkham

Arkham, Dark Souls and Halo.

Sword Play: Bujingai The Forsaken City

Hand to Hand: God Hand

Third Person: Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater

Fighting Game: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

3rd Person: Gears of War 1st Person: Probably Battlefield

Arkham, Devil May Cry.

Mortal Kombat and Devil May Cry

Swordfighting: Metal Gear Rising

Third Person Shooter: MGSV

FPS: Modern Warfare 2

I know this is off-topic, but with having played GZ and from everything we've seen and heard, I truly believe MGSV will end up being the greatest stealth experience to date.

@sog7dc: Agreed, and fact that's its a sandbox is gonna make the experience even better.

Metal Gear Solid V, Demon/Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma.

There's really nothing else that competes with those for me! :)
