what I never got was, did FF12 happen first or did Tactics happen first?

tactics time period was like the dark ages, they didn't have science or technology

and 12 had giant flying airships and cities with forcefeilds

so I always thought tactics was first....but then at the end of it, you go to an ancient airship graveyard

I thought at some point in Tactics that they refer to lost, highly advanced technology from an ancient lost civilization. Anyone else recall something along those lines?

FF7 via Mustadio Bunansa portal. Cloud was more than just a cameo in FFT. He actually met Aerith in Final Fantasy Tactics first. In Final Fantasy VII, he told Aerith - "I met you in a dream."

Also, FFX and FFX-2 take place in the same universe. No one's mentioned that yet :P

Also, there Revenant Wings takes place in Ivalice too.

Long live Ivalice I think I have spend at least 2 months real time or even more. I love the final fantasy tactics series

The Ivalice Alliance world is the best world IMO.

There is no "word of god" from the creators but the general consensus amongst fans is that Tactics 1 happened centuries (if not millenia) after FF12. Tactics Advance happened a few years (perhaps 1 generation) after FF12 and Revenant Wings.

Oh, yeah, The revenant of the Wings is there also. You should have said it earlier.

My guess is that in the original tactics it took place in the penninsula west of the map of ivalice in XII. cause my friend and I always speculated that the continents connected some how.

I figured that they all took place in separate universes.

Guess I was wrong. I've only played Final Fantasy VII (still need to finish it), VIII, IX (never finished it because it was wack), X (came close to beating it, but my save data got corrupted), XII, Tactics Advanced, and Tactics (that was wack, too).

I just meant that they had wooden robots like Worker 9 and lived in mossy stone castles where as in FF12 there were airports and advanced machinery

7, Dirge of Cerebreus, and Crisis Core are in the same universe

FF10 and 10-2 are in the same universe

FF12 and Revnant wings are in the same universe

FF13 and 13-2 are in the same universe

I believe all of those Crystal Chronicle games in the same universe.

There might be more but I'm not 100% sure.
