What exactly is a Biomechanical Android?

I have heard the term before, but never really understand exactly what it is.

The Borg and Cybermen are good examples.

Thats pretty much where I got that answer from, at least. Synthetic organism.

Bio- means living

Mechanical- means, well, mechanical

Android- "like a man"

@InnerVenom123: actually, Cyborg wouldn't be considered an android because he was born as a normal human who later had an accident. Unless you mean cyborg is a synonym for android, which it isn't.
