What do you think of this game in comparison to brawl and melee?

I think little mac is my main. Awesome combos,super speed, a mini smash ball move and not to mention the best trailer in the game. Just make sure there is no where to fall off.

Really liked it, was sad it didn't have some kind of storyline, but the fighting is great fun for almost every skill level. The variety of characters is also amazing. 8/10 maybe 8.5

Overall, I think its a better game than both Melee and Brawl. And the original.

The best game in the series to date. Easily outclassed the other three thanks to it's balanced roster. Now if we could just get Ice Climbers back as dlc.

I haven't played it yet, which makes me sad.

And what's wrong with using items? I never understood that. Using the items given to you takes just as much skill for both players. It's not like it gives one an unfair boost.

Better than Brawl, not as good as Melee. I could do without many of the new roster..

Felt insulted that they gave Fox a Wolf color scheme.

Raged after seeing Star Wolf's theme was still in their.

I agree. The cons almost outweigh the pros, like the unnecessary nerfs to certain characters like Captain Olimar or Luigi.

I have yet to play it. I plan on buying a refurbished Wii U from shop.nintendo.com as soon as they get more in stock. I've heard good things about their refurbished merchandise, and it $100 cheaper than buying it brand new (even though most of their refurbished models are still technically new, but haven't sold in retail).

I would like to hear how do you guys think brawl is better than smash 4? The nerfs made to olimar and luigi are barely noticeable in comparison to the huge buffs to them. Olimar can combo more via follow ups unlike in the last game, and now he can fend for himself on the ground without his pikmin(all his tilts can be used without pikmin, he has his own jab combo.) and he even got a better recovery than his last one.) Same goes for luigi and he can kill via jump punch at like 50 to 60 percent, his side b can cancel now and so on.

. All the characters have been both buffed and nerfed in their own ways. The game mechanically is better than brawl.

• The hitstun in smash 4 is far better than the hitstun in brawl which means far more potential for combos unlike in brawl where a combo can easily be negated due to the bad hitstun.
• The game is faster, short hopping is more efficient, and air game is so much better with most characters.
• Characters like Mario, Bowser, Yoshi, DK and diddy have had large buffs in their movesets. With some character getting changes in their movesets(for the better not the worst) like shiek and DDD with the changes to the aerial attacks, tilts, and specials.
• More characters with better varieties.
• Literally every character in the game is capable of combos unlike brawl.
• Characters that were overpowered were nerfed significantly but were given some buffs that compensate for that immensely. Such as Diddy Kong, MK and Falco and DDD

The reasons i prefer Brawl is mostly because of the story mode and the character roster. I don't really notice significant differences in terms of gameplay, it only feels a little bit faster and it has more balanced characters (unless you customize them). Call me a nut, but i enjoyed to have such an unbalanced cast sometimes, it made things more fun and interesting (Try to beat 3 lvl 9 Ganons in Melee with a Pichu and see what i'm talking about). Also, for me, Brawl had a better soundtrack and cooler stages, but that's just me.
