How you percieve the color of the image does not change the dress though... Wired got it wrong.. The dress IS and WAS White and Gold, but the departmentstores flourescent Lighting caused shadows that appear as Blue and Black on the image we see now. (study painting, shadows are often blue...because they are)

...how can one not? The lighting of the image clearly makes it appear blue with black stripes, and any color picker tool used on the image will tell you the same.

I'm honestly confused as to how anyone sees white and gold, and I still can't after staring at multiple images of it at different lightings.

You can train yourself to see both options.

It isn't hard. Just think about the opposite choice and you'll start to see it eventually.

I've done the same, but all I see are white and gold. I can see how the white parts look a little bluish, but I can't see how the gold looks black at all.

I haven't seen definitive proof suggesting it's actually white and gold. I've only seen the opposite.
