What are your thoughts on torrenting in general?

Comics, movies, songs, books, anime, games, comics. All that stuff. Is it bad in your opinion? I've seen a few people talking about how useful it is to get comics for free! And I don't know if I'm gonna try it.

Anyways, torrenting is illegal. So I'm not endorsing it but I do wanna see some ideas floating around about it. What does CV think of torrenting in general?

It's breaking the law and there should be no misconceptions about that. However, I personally see it as a boon to the entertainment industry, rather than a plague.

Honestly? I'm doing it now and...it's awesome. I get so much options. I can download like a hundred movies. And comics? Dude these sites have like every single one! CV should be endorsing this to spread more comics!

I find it useful to get things that I can't find elsewhere. No thoughts beyond that.

If it's available, use it. It's not like the police are going to come to your house and kick down your door over an issue of Batman.

Yeah dude I just got some real nice comics too. Man I cannot believe I didn't do this much sooner :D Who would ever be against torrenting?

Probably because of this, it's unfortunate but you can't discuss the morality of piracy without some people promoting it, and promoting it is against site rules:

11. No Piracy

Pretty basic, do not add links to illegal downloads. Don’t talk about downloads or promote them on the site. It can get the site in a lot of trouble and also cause massive issues for the staff.
