Can't say I'm a big fan of the genre, could be that it's over my head. There is just some anime that doesn't agree with me, i.e. Deathnote, Inuyasha, Ghost in the Shell. Although some of it I've been able to get into like Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto (embarrassing), and well, I guess those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head. I love Shin Chan, does that count as anime?
